“Great option for a night or two”

This hotel was very comfortable and conveniently located near the East Midlands airport. We chose to stay here because we had a layover, but actually ended up enjoying our time here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the lights in our room were a little tricky--sometimes they worked and other times they'd shut off randomly (even if we left our room key card in the slot).

“Good value for money hotel close to Midlands airport”

No thrill good value for money hotel close to the airport. Good service. Rooms are ok. Depending on where your room is quite a walk to the reception. Free car park. My room could have been cleaned better but was ok. Rooms have nice size and offer free coffee/tea. Aircondition unit can be operated from room and can cool and heat. Overall ok for short stay. Would not recommend for holidays.

“Functional but not fantastic”

The hotel is fine, but it is starting to look a bit dated and untidy. Expensive for what it is, probably mainly because it is so close to the airport.

“East Mids Thistle”

No car parking space available at 2pm when I tried to check in. I was told to "just park anywhere". I clarified there was no space and was told to "park on the grass".. I drove around the hotel once more but again, no space, Cars were double-parked, parked on lawns etc. When I returned to reception they told me they had over 200 wedding guests and were slightly overbooked but my room "should still be available but parking could be a problem". I drove away and eventually found another local hotel to stay in.
