Hotel Policies & Fees
The following fees and deposits are charged by the property at time of service, check-in, or check-out.
Property Amenities
The 74-unit Castle Kaha Lani resort is comprised of nine two- and three-story buildings constructed of wood in the plantation style popular on Kauai. Manicured green lawns open to ocean breezes lie between the buildings and the beach.
Though the ocean here is unsafe for anyone but the strongest swimmers and surfers, Lydgate County park on the resort's north side has excellent swimming, a broad beach, and a lifeguard. The vast park includes a large children's playground, showers, and picnic tables.
Stairways, not elevators, provide access to upper floors of this Wailua resort.
Rooms
The oceanfront Castle Kaha Lani offers 74 units, facing the ocean. Spacious, furnished lanais provide sweeping sunrise and sea views. Units include full kitchens with dishwasher, television, phone and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Furnishings vary, but all are island-inspired. Units are cooled by ceiling fans and cross ventilation.
Housekeeping services are provided for stays of 7 days or longer.
Room Amenities
Dining
Two miles north of the resort in Kauai's town of Kapaa is a one-story, open-air shopping-and-dining village called Coconut Marketplace, which contains a dozen or more restaurants and food stands. Other dining choices abound up and down the 8-mile Royal Coconut Coast, which begins a quarter-mile north where the Wailua River flows into the ocean.
Recreation
In addition to the resort's tennis court and Wailua Golf Course next door, a quarter-mile north is the Wailua River, the longest navigable river in Hawaii, which is popular for boat and kayak trips. Other recreational opportunities abound on Kauai, including those listed below.

“Look forward to staying again!”
Very comfortable yet very, very nice! Small inconvenience that CD and DVD players wouldn't work. Hotel setting beautiful, view of hotel grounds from room tranquil and scenic.
“the most bang for the buck”
the property is beachfront and all units facing the ocean, so there is plenty of breeze. the location is on the east side of the island, where the weather is about right, not too hot or too wet. the unit size is one of the biggest for the prize you would ever find on the island. the pool is just a few walk away from the unit. it has all the amenities and the feel of a home away from home...i would certainly come back here.
“A relaxing place”
I hesitate to write this because I don't want the Kaha Lani to be overrun, but what a perfect place for a relaxing stay on Kauai. Our oceanfront unit was clean and very functional, if a bit worn around the edges. The condo complex location between Lydgate park and the golf course provides a nice buffer from other development and a good spot from which to explore the island. Nice pool. Wish they had a hot tub.
“would gladly stay at kaha lani again!!!”
rooms were very clean ,a excelent view from all windows of the condo. nice and quiet, beautiful park and golf course. Cool swimming and snorkeling just down the beach. room well furnished ,everything you could need, for a pleasent stay.I would rate this hotel an (A)
“Amazing views at Kaha Lani”
We had such a wonderful stay here. Our condo was an oceanfront condo, so we woke up to the waves every morning, it was beautiful. The grounds are well kept and our condo was very clean and comfortable. I loved that they had beach towels available for our use that could be changed out as often as we needed. No need to buy or pack towels! It's located very close to Lydgate Park, which is a wonderfui beach if you're traveling with little ones. And just down the street from snorkel rentals, and the Coconut Grove Marketplace, which had some great restaurants and shops! I highly recommend Kaha Lani, we were sad to go home.
“Beautiful! and Beautiful Sunrises”
Our stay was awesome - it really was. The way the units sit, they all have an oceanview as far as I could tell. Our condo was stocked with spices & lots of cookware which made it very convenient. Of the three condos our family rented, ours was beautiful. My sisters was really nice, and my daughters was nice, but somewhat rundown. (Different condo owners.) The hotel grounds are perfectly beautiful and the staff is very nice. The location is great because you can drive to either the North Shore or the South Shore within an hour. The only thing that was annoying were the constant crowing of the Roosters. But, they are all over the island, even at Waimea Canyon, so I don't know if you can get away from them. They have no predators.
“Everything we expected and more....”
Beautiful grounds well kept and nice location. Close to food and shopping. Great place to stay. Condo had all the amenities and more. We did hear the roosters in the morning.(Not a big deal)Close to either ends of the island. Short trip to Poipu or Princeville and all the sites.
“beautiful room - but a bit small”
Very nice
“Beautiful and scenic”
I would recommend this resort to anyone planning on taking a trip to Kaui (The garden isle) It has relaxing views of the ocean from your room where you can sit on your lanai and watch and listen to the waves crash into the shore. It is secluded yet close to town and all the attractions like sleeping giant and the beautiful waterfalls there. It is truly a great place to relax and forget about the worries of work.
“Great for kids”
Took our 4 children there. Loved it. Pool and grounds immaculate. Quality of interior average but clean. Adjacent beach NOT for swimming but best place for swimming/snorkling just down road. In between 2 fantastic playgrounds. Staff so friendly
