“Definitely would recommend”
I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. The staff were lovely, room spacious and clean and breakfast amazing!
“Nice people”
Apart from a painful bed - mattress too shallow - excellent place to stay with good food and drink
“Loved it!”
We had a wonderful time at the Millers Arms. They have just refurbished the restaurant and rooms and everything was lovely. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. We'll definitely stay again should we make a return visit to Canterbury.
“Real gem in Canterbury”
This place is a real gem! Historic pub very close to the cathedral and centre of the city. Breakfasts excellent and cooked to order, good local beers on tap. Large bathroom and well-appointed room with lovely view across to the millstream. Parking in nearby council carpark.
“An Exceptional Inn in One of England's Most Engaging Towns”
The Millers Arms is a comfortable, friendly inn, with pub and restaurant, an easy five minute walk from Canterbury Cathedral and the excellent nearby cafes and shops around in and in the small town centre. The room was exceptionally clean and pleasant and breakfasts, included with the room, were exceptional, offering choices ranging from a full English breakfast (with a vegetarian option) to Eggs Benedict or Florentine, smoked haddock, hot cereal, eggs with smoked salmon or pancakes with bacon, all with toast and unlimited tea or coffee. On any return visit to Canterbury, I would be absolutely sure to stay here again!
“Perfect base for your home away from home accommodations”
We had stayed at The Millers Arms in Canterbury two years ago and absolutely loved it. We were so happy to be going back again. Our stay was awesome. The staff were so experienced and helpful. The room was just as we remembered (lovely and comfortable). They are going to be updating the entire ground floor and it should be even better than it already is. Hopefully we can get back there again either in 2011 or 2012, but we are definately going to get back there without a doubt. It's the kind of place that you want to call home.
“Right Choice”
A very comfortable hotel to stay with. Room is clean and tidy. Both food and environment are good. Staff are friendly and kind. Not too far from city centre and train station. Happy to have chosen this hotel for my vacation and will no doubt recommend to any people going to Canterbury.
“Milloer's Arms Inn, Canterbury”
Extremely friendly and helpful welcome. As we had to leave early they provided the night before some instant porridge, granola bars and fruit - an apple and an orange for each of us. Overnight parking £5 in council car park right opposite hotel with voucher from hotel. Superbly located only a few minutes' walk from the cathedral. Very good food in hotel restaurant, with friendly service. Not the place to stay for a week, but very good for 1 or 2 nights. Would definitely go back.
“Cracking find”
Smashing Inn and would definately go back, lovely well priced food, good beer and wine served by very friendly polite staff well decorated bar and restaurant. Just behind the main city centre a couple of minutes walk away. Due to the character of the building the sash window was single glazed and the noise from the weir across the road from the front bedrooms was very noisy would ask for a side or rear bedroom next time Paintwork on window frames could do with a touch up. Great value.
“I loved this hotel”
The Millers Arms is right by the river and an easy 5 mintue walk into town. There is a car park opposite and reception will give you a voucher to put on your car ( for 24 hours). The rooms were all named after the Canterbury tales and ours (Pardners Tale) was a lovely attick room overlooking the old mill with the sound of the water tumbling. It was small, cosy, warm and clean and and just perfect for me and my husband. Downstairs the bar staff were friendly and welcoming and the log fire and mulled wine were the start of a lovely evening in Canterbury. I will definintely return and recommend this hotel.
