"The Cathedral Gate Hotel is older than the West Gate leading into the Canterbury Cathedral! It's old, and proudly displays its age. Anyone staying there must want to enter into the atmosphere is medieval Canterbury, and enjoy the experience of crossing from building to building on the rooftop, and being right smack in the middle of the ancient city."

"A lovely old mansion house with plenty of character. We were gory enough to stay in one of the renovated bedrooms which was spacious and clean. Some of the areas of the hotel required modernising and updating but I imagine this was part of the current works. Food was tasty and the grounds well-kept. We would happily return."
