"Wonderful views from this hilltop hotel, but it's a long, steep walk back from the beaches! We took the hotel bus down to the beach and walked back after spending some time at the port. It's isolated, but there's a free bus from/to Toyohashi Station. The breakfast and dinner buffets are great, and much of the hotel has been recently renovated. Unfortunately they have changed the afternoon times for the onsen so that women have access to their part at 3pm but men from 5pm, which we found...

"As previous guests note, twenty five minutes from Toba station. As such, no restaurants or stores aside from in the hotel, but plenty of beautiful scenery. I didn’t have the dinner option due to price and instead brought take out from the local food shop (Marche) near the station, but fully enjoyed the lavish spread of fresh foods (fruits and veggies, too) and view of the bay. My room was spacious and new (532) and the indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi were well-maintained and I could do laps...

"The staff treated me so well. Working with me even with a language barrier. After a few weeks of the Tokyo and Osaka life, that place was a slice of heaven, my only regret was not staying longer. The baths were nice, the place was super clean. Transportation to get there is a bit difficult, but that I think is what makes this place attractive, since it's in such a nice, quiet part of Japan. "The breakfast was fantastic. The common bath was great for relaxation at the end of the day. The owner of the place, despite not speaking much English, was very helpful and there was pick up service from the train station. Only thing is that if you arrive later than 20:00 there won't be much happening around the area, nor there are anywhere to eat, which should be paid attention to as Ise is famous for its gourmet experience so you don't want to end up wasting your dinner chance at s convenient...

"Good value. Perfect for family vacation (5 in our family). We arrived late (7PM) called ahead and staff welcomed us. Free on site parking. They don't speak English but are friendly. Room was non smoking and had no odor. But smoking is allowed in the hallways. In room bath is clean but old. After checking in, found Kura Sushi (kaiten style-inexpensive) 4 minutes walk! After dinner we tried the onsen bath at the hotel. Men's level was clean but women's level was a bit dirty. Next morning, girls...
