“Dingy in Lake Charles”
Very disappointing! My husband stayed in a La Quinta last week near Mobile, Alabama for work and had nothing but great things to say about his experience. So, when making our reservations for our weekend in Lake Charles, LA, we decided to give this La Quinta a try. Although the staff was very friendly, the upkeep of the hotel has a lot to be desired. The trash cans were over-flowing outside. The grass needed moving. There was cobwebs in the corner our our room and the loveseat in our king suite was very dirty. There was no way I was going to sit on that thing. I do have to say though, the bed was comfortable. I slept very well! Overall the whole room just felt dingy! I don't thing we'll be staying in a La Quinta anytime soon!
“Waste of time!”
We were traveling to San Antonio and prebooked the room. We were traveling with a penske truck and a trailer on the back. The parking was horrible there is a dead end parking lot with no sign informing you of that. We spent 3 hrs outside trying to fix the truck because we were stuck in a dead end parking lot. The front desk agent was unable to help. We finally checked in at 2am after fixing the parking situation. After checking in we went to our room to find that it was dirty as if already occupied. The front desk agent gave us another room on the 2nd floor. Around 4am we tried to get some sleep because we had to wake up at 7am. During that time we tried to turn on the ac unit by the window only to find that someone had dumped what appeared to be cigarette ashes in it. We will never stay at a La Quinta Inn ever again!
