“Xmas get away”
wonderful hotel, location was perfect for walking around and exploring the town. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast did not live up to expectations based on the rest of the hotel experience. The hotel staff recommended a local restaurant, located directly behind it on one of the squares "sociale restaurante". Be careful of restaurant staff who short changed us on our bill. when confronted they played dumb and took advantage of tourist who have little long term influence on their reputation because we leave the town and don't get to tell people about our bad experiences with them. Hope this makes a difference to someone else.

“Very comfortable hotel in the heart of Como”
Como is a very beautiful lake to visit. The hotel is regarded as one of the best in Como. Close to the Nord train station which can take you into Milan but also a good route to the Malpensa airport (one change at Soronno). Also close to restaurants and we would recomment the Fontana D'oro Pizzeria.
“Would definitely go back”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Palace Hotel. The staff was very helpful with where to go, what to see, trains/boats - even suggested an excellent place for pizza! Our room was a little small, but it had a window that opened up to a beautiful view of Lake Como. We were surprised that it was so noisy outside, but when you shut the window, it was really quiet. The breakfast buffet which was included with the room had cereals, fresh breads (wonderful grape jelly), fruit, yogurt & coffee. The hotel was located near the main plaza and also across the street from the boat terminal (where you can buy tickets to go to other spots - like Bellagio). Very nice place!

“Excellent hotel, will definitely return!”
This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The view from our room was stunning, right out to the lake and beyond. The room was first rate, service of the staff was friendly and courteous. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and served in a beautiful room. I cannot praise this hotel enough, especially when you consider the extremely reasonable price paid through Expedia.
“Comes Highly Recommended!”
The Palace Hotel at Como sits at the edge of the lakeside promenade. On entering, it is cool and calm - all you want after your journey from the uk. Upgraded lake view room was worth it, put air con on if you don't want to hear the lakeside bustle. The location of the hotel was excellent being 50 mtrs from the ferries, bus station and with the old town just behind it. We had a a great week here, greeted by pleasant reception staff, cheery chambermaids and a large buffet breakfast every morning served in a beautiful dining room with views to the lake. Room was comfortable, huge double bed, and bathroom had a bath as well as shower and bidet. Would go back anytime & recommend it highly.
