“Basic but entertainment for kids excellant”
The bungalow standard is indeed basic. 1 bedroom. small bathroom with showe and a small kitchen with a single bed, pull out bed underneath the bed. Small plastic patio tabe and 4 chairs outside the door. Fridge and cooker although no oven or grill - just a hob. Small tv with just italian and german stations. As there is plenty to do around lake garda the accommadation was not a problem - but it is too cramped for 4 people and the cooking facilities are not good. The disco and shows from 9 or 9.30 were great and the swimming pool was also very good with a kids pool. onsite shop, bar and rstaurant was aslo good. reception staff very helpful and a safe is provided free. 24 hr security as well.
“nice break . but a week was enough”
Lovely spot by the lake. Receptionists very helpful. One drawback is that you really need a car to get around from this village. As no bus stops outside. And a taxi to sirmione costs 10 euros.
“Better than you would think”
This is a bit of a camp site with caravans and bungalows mixed together but dont let that put you off. The kids loved the swimming pools (3) and my wife loved the cool breeze coming off the lake. The lake itself is spectacular. Bar area has some entertainment but going into town each night is a better bet. Staff very helpful and quick to provide service. Site itself very clean with well kept gardens. Dont expect too much snf you will have a great time.
“Be ready for a walk”
The Garda village, wow, what a great place to stay. Fantastic views, fantastic people and ever so helpfull. The food was brilliant, and cheap which always helps. The hotel grounds were all very well kept, clean and tidy. The bar, the restaurant and the pools, excellent. I would stay here again, and I would reccomend it, just don't expect too much from the rooms themselves. They are comfortable, but very basic. The only other inconvenience is the distance to Sirmione, it does take a good 45 minutes to walk it, but it is a nice walk if you take the footpath along the lake, and not the road. As this then takes over an hour to walk.
“Great family resort”
Perfect for a young family, a bit like centreparcs, very few cars inside the village lots of space for the kids to run around, swimming pools a little tired, but we did go end of season so the animation had also finished, accomadation basic but clean with everything we needed (except for a toaster!).
“Beautiful Sirmione”
If you stay here you will definitely need a car. The bus stop is a very hot 20 minute walk away and the town is 40 minutes away. The camp itself is very clean and green but the bungalows are very basic. You have to pay to have your room cleaned otherwise you just get towels and sheets at the beginning or your holiday. We stayed for 10 nights and the towels got rather grubby by the end of it! The tv was useless as it was all in Italian, I thought we would at least get something with subtitles.
“Nice people but...”
....I wouldn't recommend this to people who are used to higher value for money standards. The hotel stuff is nice and really trying hard. If you do not expect your room to be cleaned for over a week (or are willing to pay $70 or so for it to be cleaned!) then you might be very happy there. Otherwise I'd say this is a very poor deal.
“The Italian Butlins. (but not as good)”
It is Cheap, but you get what you pay for. If you want your room cleaning , it's extra, if you want clean sheets or towels it's extra. The gas kept switching itself off at the mains every night so you had to wait for the maintenance man to switch it on in the morning before you could boil the kettle. There was no glasses supplied so we had to go and buy some, every thing is very very basic. But it is what you make it and by not spending much time in the Garda Village, you get to see a lot more of Lake Garda and the suroundimg towns and villages which are spectacular in every sense.

Sirmione, Italy: Spectacular Sirmione occupies a narrow spit projecting into Lake Garda, its entrance guarded by a picture-book 13th-century moated castle. Its immaculately-tended little pedestrianised town is patronised by a wealthy clientele, many of whom come for the spa and thermal baths complex. At the end of the peninsula visitors to the impressive Grotte di Catullo, the largest Roman villa remains in northern Europe, enjoy panoramic lake views.
