“Decent price, decent location, decent base in London”

I booked way ahead of time and got a good deal. After reading some horror stories from reviews I held my breath but I was relieved and impressed! All rooms are small in London unless you pay top dollar usually and this one was no exception but it was clean, tidy in good condition etc. The bed was not the most comfortable but to be honest I was tired so I slept well! and the staff were pleasant getting taxis, porter service was good and room was well serviced and cleaned each day. It was also handy having free access to internet in the business centre and the hotel is 5-10mins walk from lots of places to get a quick sandwich or snack on the run and 2mins to tube station. Would stay there again no problem. Location near regents park is also really pleasant to walk around. Good cool aircon too - essential in summer.

“Excellent short break in the centre of London.”

From the moment we arrived, from the Concierge to reception staff to bar and restaurant waiters the service we received was excellent. The hotel is perfectly clean and tidy as was our room. The check in was swift and we were offered an upgrade for an excellent price they may aswell have given us it for free. "The level" is an available upgrade which we also took were by you pay a little extra and receive access to The Level lounge serving inclusive Full English breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails and canapés. The food in the hotel was excellent and not expensive, although the drinks are pricey. Overall the quality of the hotel and the service provided was excellent.

“Royal Service!”

It's not right in the middle of the action, but not too far away from it. The temperatures were hovering just above freezing when we were there and we couldn't keep our room quite warm enough with the heating system on bust. That is the only reason for the 4, instead of 5, rating for "Comfort of your room". Well, the bed that we had was a bit stiff. But, no other complaints...

“Incredible hotel”

I have stayed at a number of Melia hotels throughout the world and have always had a great experience- this hotel is no different. The staff was incredibly helpful. The concierge went above and beyond to help me with arranging event tickets and dinner reservations. The wait staff was polite and friendly, and the rooms were beautiful with more amenities than the average hotel. There were even American plug outlets so I had no problem with my laptop and other electronics. The location is next to Regent's Park, one of the loveliest parks in London. There are a number of very good restaurants one block away on Cleveland Street. But the restaurant in the hotel is also very good. The prices of mixed drinks are very high at the hotel restaurant- about 10 pounds. So with the exchange rate to the dollar, each drink will cost about $20. But the cost of food is about average. They also serve traditional afternoon tea in the bar/ lounge area with scones and finger sandwiches. I was also very close to one of the Original Bus Tour's start locations and Madame Tussaud's. Overall, I love this hotel and do not plan on staying anywhere else for the price, comfort, and location the next time I visit.

“Great hotel in a great area.....”

The hotel sparkles from head to toe. Rooms are very clean, room service and maid service are good. Bar area is 'modern classic' with great, friendly, waitstaff. Price of room through Expedia was great value. You will spend a bit of money if you eat in, order room service, or drink at the bar for an evening. It is much less expensive if you eat and drink outside the hotel. Cabs can be slightly difficult to get at odd hours. Overall 8 out of 10.

“We like the Melia hotels chain.”

This is the second time that we experienced the Melia hotels. The first time was in Mexico. The personnel were very friendly and the hotel was very comfortable, up to its category (stars) which is not always the case with other chains.
