Situated between Beverly Hills, three miles east, and Santa Monica, seven miles west, the all-suite W Hotel Los Angeles Westwood is two blocks from UCLA.
Bliss Spa offers a 7,000-square-foot facility featuring a retail boutique, manicure stations with movies, ten treatment rooms, and men's and women's lounges. Guests also enjoy access to an outdoor pool with cabanas and a 24-hour fitness facility.
Dining options include NINETHIRTY, serving modern American cuisine, and Whiskey Blue, featuring an extensive martini selection. A café, poolside lounge, and 24-hour room service are also available.
Pets are welcome (surcharge) and treated to premium bedding, food and water bowls, and turndown-amenity snacks. Guests can request concierge-style attention 24 hours a day via the W's Whatever/Whenever service.

Spacious bungalow-style accommodations are decorated with custom-designed furnishings and whimsical touches. Beds offer W signature pillowtop mattresses, goose down duvets, down pillows, and 350-thread-count cotton blend linens. Desks provide Eames office chairs.
Amenities include 42-inch flat-screen TVs, DVD players, and iPod docks. Guests can request CDs and DVDs via the hotel's Whatever/Whenever service. Multi-line cordless phones include voice mail. Wireless and wired high-speed Internet access are available (surcharge).

The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by chaises. Private, poolside cabanas include flat-screen TVs and DVD players. The 24-hour fitness room's cardiovascular equipment sports individual TV screens.
Thanks in part to the hotel's proximity to UCLA, there are plenty of recreational opportunities within a short distance. Near the campus (two blocks) are a jogging path, tennis and basketball courts.
There are also several public and private golf courses and driving ranges within 10 miles; Malibu (18 miles) is a popular destination for golf, tennis, horseback riding, and surfing. Santa Monica Beach and Pier (7 miles) has a jogging path, tennis courts, and a boardwalk with rides, games, restaurants, and shops. At Venice Beach and Marina del Rey (to the south of Santa Monica) visitors can rent bicycles, in-line skates, and water sport and fishing gear; a paved, 25-mile bike/jogging/skating path runs along the Pacific Coast.

“Never slept in a better bed...”
We loved everything about this hotel, including the surprise upgrade to our room and the birthday drink vouchers, though my birthday was more than two weeks past. Every member of the hotel staff spoke to us and offered help, even if we didn't make eye contact or look like we needed something. The hotel is adjacent to UCLA and surrounded by luxury homes. Within a few steps, guests can access restaurants, grocery stores, boutiques, bars, theaters, and more ... A maximum of a 15 minute drive in any direction will get you to Malibu, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, and Hollywood. But, the best part of our stay was sleeping on the most comfortable mattress I have ever encountered in my life. My only suggestion for improvement? Install blackout curtains so I could sleep even longer... Would go back ... again and again ...
“Excellent, would return”
My son is attending UCLA so this hotel had a great location for my need as he could walk to us from his dorm. The staff was very friend and even upgraded us as they could not get us the room we requested.

“Finally”
We have been staying at hotels for decades and some were good, some just were failures. This W was exactly what we had expected and hoped for in a high caliber establishment. Service, design, spacious rooms and good food. The pool area and garden were an oasis in the middle of Westwood. A strong four-star. Thanks expedia.com.
“Great hotel near UCLA”
We were visiting UCLA and stayed here for two nights. The service was excellent, the beds were very comfortable, and the showers were very nice. We took advantage of the Bliss spa, which is always lovely, and enjoyed the Bliss bath products in the room. Overall a lovely experience.
“Will definitely return”
Great location near the Getty Center, UCLA, Westwood, Wilshire Blvd...Beautifully appointed room--large and comfortable living room with separate bedroom. The restaurant food and service were outstanding. The bell staff and valets were friendly and helpful with bottled water and directions. We will definitely stay at a W hotel again and look forward to returning to the W in Westwood.
“Great Place for Hip Travelers.”
If you are a business traveler that demands peace and quiet, this is not for you. If you are a hip, in-the-know, work hard and play hard type, then this is the best place in West LA. Pro: Cool design and decor. Prompt service, the bar that transforms into a nightclub. The pool. Con: smell of tobacco in non-smoking rooms. Overall a great place to stay.

If i´m ever in town again, won´t have any doubt about where to stay. I think this prety much sums it up all i could say about my experience on W. Very good place to stay, for either: work or vacation.
