“Will definately go back”
Hotel was very good, great all-round place to stay. Excellent for a relaxing break. Entertainment if you want it, quiet if you don't. Grounds and pools well kept. Many bars and restaurants close by to choose from.
“Unremarkable”
I stayed at this hotel in Sept for 3 nights, Half Board, with my mother. The hotel is one of three on the same complex, Don Marco, Don Pablo and Don Pedro. The location is probably the best plus point of the complex - a stones throw from the beach (a large/sandy/clean beach too) and lots of shops close by. The room of the Don Marco was comfortable; flat screen TV had BBC1, C4, Sky News, CNN and Eurosport as the English channels. The a/c coped well, Bathroom was very nice with a separate shower cubicle to the bath. Hairdryer was supplied (for the girls who normally pack one). Food wise breakfast was superior to dinner; really good choice of hot food (eggs 4-ways, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, fried bread, beans plus more), cereals and continental pastries. Coffee was also very nice. Dinner though was unremarkable - edible yes, and some nice bits, but i wouldn't rave about it. The restaurants were busy, especially when they first open and the atmosphere was a little sterile; lots of people but little talking. Most of the background noise comes from the staff sorting cutlery which, whilst it doesn't look like one, makes the place 'feel' like a canteen. WiFi was available in the Don Marco, but didn't seem to work in the sister hotels. Overall i'd go back and probably go HB again as it's expensive to eat outside. But i'd look at other establishments in the same vicinity and if i got a cheaper deal (for a place with good reviews) i'd have no qualms leaving the Don Marco.
“HMMM!”
hotel has a great beachfront location but a little steep uphill walk to town. in november be advised that all services are shut down and everything goes on at don pedro. we felt a little isolated from everything but the upside was that everything was very quiet all the time, so if you want to be in the middle of it stay at don pedro.
“just what we expected”
We had read about 100 reviews about this hotel and they prepared us for the trip. The location was great, right across the street from the beach. The 3 hotels are all connected and share 9 pools. Always one that had open chairs. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, but it had a wide variety and items were geared toward English guest. English was spoken just about everywhere and we found everyone including front desk to be friendly. The rooms were as expected after reading reviews, not luxury, but serviceable and fine for the price. Turn either way outside the hotel and there were places to eat and shop. No shampoo, etc in room but brought our own after reading reviews. If you are also American and reading this review-the hotel is like an American Holiday Inn. All in all much better than expected after reading the reviews and for the price.
“Great location”
This hotel is in great location overlooking the beachfront. Parking in the area is crazy and there is only limited parking available in the hotel carpark. The reception area is very musty but the room was fine. Buffet dinner was good value and free entertainment (motown singers) in the hotel complex was great.
“Nice hotel but to noisy (clairaudient)”
It's a very nice hotel but in the morning it's also very noisy because it's very clairaudient. But during the day it's very quite... It's perfect if you are a early bird :-) Pro - Free Internet - Close to the beach - Close to restaurants and clubs - Very quite during the day Contra - No mini bar and no room service - In the morning it's very noisy because it's very clairaudient (you'll hear the cleaning services and other guests)

Torremolinos, Spain: There is more than meets the stereotype to this Anglo-centric seaside resort. While most of Torremolinos is a brash high-rise heaven for fun-loving Brits, the low-rise western part is patronised by the Spanish and has a very different character. Soft golden sands stretch either side of town and there is a huge choice of entertainments by day and night. Aquapark is a white-knuckle water world; Tivoli World is the regions major theme park.
