“Warmth from the time you drive in the gate . . .”
We stayed at Cavallo Point over Labor Day weekend on a whim, thinking it would be fun to experience the old military housing. We wound up staying in one of the few new buildings instead. The Golden Gate views were spectacular! The room was immaculate and full of green amenities. It was also quiet and peaceful. The hotel campus is suited best for active people. Access to the Marin Headlands is great! Murry Circle is a world class restaurant! Our only complaint was the strong fabric softener scent on the sheets and towels. Bring your hiking shoes and bike and enjoy one of the most unique spots in the SF Bay Area! All of the Cavallo Point staff are fantastic!
“A Jewel”
We got the top of the line room in the Contemporary section for an excellent Expedia "special" price. A large suite with separate bedroom and living room. A push button gas log fireplace. A spacious fully appointed bathroom. Loads of storage space. Cool breezes off of San Francisco Bay with a view of the Golden Gate from our bed. Free Wireless, in room refrigerator. Quality service in all respects. The location is secluded hidden among giant eucalypti trees. The scent pervated th property despite strong May breezes. Our trip did not go as planned. We spend most of our time on the property inviting our friends to join us.
“very nice”
the hotel was very nice. Windows opened, room was clean, room service was prompt, could see san fran and bay bridge from window, was in the historic section on murray circle. I would have enjoyed a larger room though. Work out room was clean and had free weights along with treadmills and other machines. The healing art spa was fabulous. This place has a relaxing feel to it, which is nice and in contrast to the busy san fran area.
“Serene Location - Amazing Views of Golden Gate Bridge”
We stayed here for our 15th wedding anniversary. We are locals, but wanted to travel a short distance, but still feel like we got away. This hotel was amazing for achieving this. It has a great feel about it and makes you feel like you are very far from everything, yet you are just on the Sausalito side of the Golden Gate Bridge. We stayed in the historic room and were upgraded to a suite. It was nicely updated with a great eco-modern feel to it. The views of the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge are spectacular. I went on a hike in the morning and was gifted to a nice uphill climb with one of the most spectacular views I have ever seen. Literally the view from Fort Battery is the view of the Golden Gate Bridge you see on postcards. The restaurant at this hotel was recently rewarded a Michelin star and it lived up to the hype. It was excellent. We also enjoyed the spa. It is a fantastic place to get away from it all.
“Awesome”
Great location, excellent service, amazing food, huge room. Will go back for sure.
“GREAT!!!!!!!”
This was my second visit to this hotel. I do not plan on staying at any other location in the area.
“GREAT ROMANTIC GETAWAY”
Contemporary King Room at Cavallo Point was all it promised - extremely clean, comfortable - and even had a private balcony! We really loved the spa, especially the eucalyptus steam. The restaurant was delicious as well.
“Wonderful!”
What a great get-away! My husband and I loved it here! :)
