“I was extremely pleased with this hotel.”
The staff were plentiful and helpful. We had an extremely pleasant stay.
“Nice getaway spot!”
The room was welcoming. Good friendly environment. Customer service available around the clock. Pleaseant balcony view and spacious!

“On Poplar bus route”
The hotel is currently under renovation but the staff could not have been nicer and it did not effect out stay. There is a train that runs behind the hotel, but being from a town with trains, we hardly noticed it. Breakfast was good. My only complaint is there was not enough fruit, if any, every day. Hotel is located on Poplar, which is a major bus route and will get you downtown in about an hour. Buses stop running early (10ish), so if you will need to take a cab back if you stay downtown late. You can take the bus to Corkeys for BBQ which is fabulous!
“Railroad tracks”
The hotel has a nice location. A little confusing to find it from Expedia Map directions. Also, a railroad runs by the back of the hotel less than 40 yards and is noisy at night. Recommend getting an odd numbered room on the front. Otherwise the hotel is fine with complimentary food druing the evenings Tuesday thru Thursday.
“Visiting Memphis”
We had a nice time visiting Graceland.The Residence Inn has a TRAIN that runs behind it that we were not aware of...it kept us up the first night then we got used to it. You ask to be moved too.
“Needs major work”
The upkeep and location of hotel are terrible. My first room had dead roaches in the floor, and the following morning "live" ants crawling on the kitchen counter. In addition, the hotel is located along a railroad track. So if you stay on the back side, you'll be constantly disturbed all night by very loud trains that seem to shake the entire room. I was transfer to another room in the main building later in the week that was much cleaner and quieter.
