“Great stay in Custer”

This place is excellent. I told the staff twice how much we appreciated how well run and friendly this hotel and staff were.

“Convenient, comfortable, clean and quiet”

We were very pleased with our room and the service at the hotel. It was quiet despite being right on the highway. It was near Custer State Park and the Crazy Horse memorial - attractions which we enjoyed visiting.

“Happy Winter Honeymoon”

We went during the off season to see the sites. There was maybe six other rooms occupied while we were there. It was so quiet and relaxing! The only thing we didn't like was the matress was a bit firm, but what hotel isn't? We hade the jacuzzi and it was very clean. The staff was very friendly. We used Google maps to navigate from MN to the hotel, and it directed us two wrong turns and a few blcoks short. We called and the night desk clerk got us right to the front door with her directions. I you go in the winter, just keep in mind most of the businesses in town are closed. Thank you Pizza Hut for delivering late! They just repainted the pool while we were there and it looked great!

“Fine hotel. Good location”

Hotel staff was not overly friendly, but competent. I'll take that versus the opposite. Hotel rooms were fine. Standard breakfast was fine. Pool looked OK, but we didn't use it. So much to do in the Black Hills. It's a little far to walk into the Old downtown, but a short drive by car.

“Great location for Custer State Park”

Nice hotel for the price. Real close to Custer State Park. We had an extra little room for the 3 kids. They should offer more than 2 kinds of cereal for breakfast. It wouldn't be any extra cost for them to offer 4 cereals instead of 2. If you stay a week you need some variety for breakfast.

“Great place on a budget.”

This hotel is very comfortable for a two star rating. It had a great recliner where you could kick back and read or rest in comfort. In most hotels the chairs are NOT comfortable. Although this seemed to be an older establishment, it was very clean and appealing. The breakfast was somewhat limited in choices, but the staff were very helpful. The location was a little difficult. There was no clear address number on the outside. Our GPS system kept telling us to pass it by. We had to go in and ask if this was the correct location. The rates on this hotel were a little higher than the others we had stayed in nearby. I did not understand that. This was not a step up, just more expensive. I would however, come back to this one.

“Great for Price”

We stayed here for one night while we were passing through town visiting Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Monuments. It was much nicer than I expected, since I hadn't stayed in a Super 8 Motel in quite a while. We were on a budget and this worked out perfectly. It was close to the downtown of Custer and about 20-30 minutes away from the monuments. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. I would recommend this location for anyone traveling to the area that is on a budget and looking for a safe/clean motel.

“out of season”

other than being out of season this was a nice place to stay. breakfast was ok could have changed day to day coffee was bad, only luke warm even when freshly made.

“Good Deal”

It was a good value, especially the complimentary breakfasts. My only complaint was that there was not a mini-fridge in the room.

This hotel was OK. I did not find it to be outstanding but it was clean and easy to find.
