“Frequent French Quarter visitors love Holiday Inn!”
It was very centrally located..one block away from Bourbon St. & close enough to Cafe du Monde, Jackson Square & basically everything worth seeing in the French Quarter. Swimming pool was clean, towels provided & the workout room overlooking the city. The beds were very comfortable , each having 4 pillows of various softness. We would most certainly return again.
“Great value, except for parking”
I have stayed at this hotel twice now and love the location, comfort, and value it offers. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and spacial. The only negative I have about this hotel is that it's $20-$30 for parking a day and I wish they made known before you got there to check in. So factor in an extra $30 per night when you're booking them if you want convenient parking. Other than that, great hotel, love the indoor pool!
“NOLA”
We had a room across from the elevator, which did not bother us. But the door had gaps all around it and when people got off talking we could here every word, which was not good at 2 am. A little sealant around the door like weather stripping would do it. Otherwise it was a good experiance.
“The best vacation place”
I would recomend this hotel to all my family and friends. All Staff was extremely courtious. Outstanging Job
“Super Stay”
Stayed here during SEC tourney which is a very busy time. I read all the negative reviews & took my chances, then was terrified thinking of the neg reviews on my way down. Here is what I saw.. My room was perfectly clean (a large bathroom, but we did get an" accessible" room because that;s all they had left). We did get maid service every day with fresh towels, bed made up & room picked up. Staff were very approachable, helpful & friendly, especially one particular bell hop, Elijah, he went over & above, always asking if there was anything we needed or that he could do for us & just generally trying to get to know us. And in a genuine way, not like fishing for a tip. We did request & get an upper floor so I really can't speak for lower floors rooms but entrance, lobby, elevator, etc were all very acceptable. Saw them using like carpet fresh one day, & yeah I did see one small stain on our floor. but I think you could find that in any hotel ataxy given time. I saw no mold or dirty ceilings. Tub, shower were excellent. And very close to Bourbon but to so close noise was an issue, literally 1 block over & 1 down. Summary: our stay was perfect with no complaints about anything. Not sure if other posts just had a unique experience or what but I would recommend this hotel.
“The basics of our stay.”
Parking is inside the hotel, literally, but this is great for the French Quarter as long as you don't have a long or big vehicle. Medium to small vehicles navigate the parking area without a problem. The hotel has 3 elevators and as my son found out, a pool on the tenth floor. In order to access the elevators you MUST have your room key or you are not allowed (you have to swipe it each time.) The rooms were nice and the housekeeping well done. We spent much of the time out in the Quarter, but we felt that our belongings were quite secure in the hotel. The staff was efficient and friendly, but not that outgoing. Towels at the pool were at a premium and it seems that making sure enough towels were available was not a priority. The hotel is right off Canal on Royal, within easy walking and wandering of the many points of interest and shopping in the quarter. Given the cost, it was well worth the price, including the cost of keeping our car there for the entire time. Would not hesitate to return to this hotel again should we visit New Orleans.
“great stay”
The staff was great.....always being proactvie to provide the best service
“Convenient location!”
This hotel is steps away from Bourbon St and Canal St, a short walk to the Riverwalk mall, a convenience store across the street, and a block or two from the St Charles streetcar. Our room wasn't ready at check in but it appears that they will upgrade your room on a first come first serve basis if they have rooms available. Will definitely stay there again!!!
“Great hotel in French Quarter”
Hotel was nice and tidy. Room was comfortable and nicely sized. Excellent location!! Walking distance to everything and one block from Bourbon Street. We were on an upper floor, so we werent disturbed by any outside noise. Great value and service! Parking was $26 per day (little less than normal). Checkout was 11:00. Will definitely stay there again!
“Great place to stay. I will be back.”
prime location. Very comfortable. We had a great time. Burbon street is amazing. The people love to party.
