“Nice small hotel”
First time here, and overall good experience-- very clean, stylish, and restaurant is good for business meetings. Staff pleasant, and retrieving bags that I had left was fast.
“Great location, and some of the best thin crust pizza across the street on Madison.”
Friendly and clean. Definitely deserving of other positive reviews too. Will definately go back as soon as possible.
“Marvelous”
Excellent experience. Nice restaurant, bar area. Staff was very friendly, attentive.
“Comfortable bed. Modern Theme. Super Friendly and Helpful Staff”
We love the theme at the hotel. The environment is hip and modern. The bed comes with down comforter and extra pillows to sit on the floor or put on the bed. Bathroom comes with two shower heads. One of them looks like the kind from a spa. One thing to note is the friendly staff. They really showed they care about our stay. I hardly find hotel staffs say "Good morning and enjoy your day" from the bottom of their hearts, and I think the staffs here really mean it when they say it.
“Delighted with location and friendliness of staff!!”
We were very pleased with the location and friendliness of the staff at Roger William. The decor was "upbeat" and very well maintained. The quality of linens and bedding were excellent and very comfortable. The only complaint I have is the size of the the bathroom (of course this is NYC!) The hotel dining and wining area was very pleasing and there were several great eateries near by on the block. I recommend this hotel to anyone. It really allows you great convenience to either uptown or downtown and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great "Upbeat Hotel". I would definitely go back.
“Staff were very friendly and helpful.”
Staff helped us out with everything we asked. They were very friendly to my 4 year old son. Good location for getting to places in Manhattan.
“great location”
simple, great location, nice staff, a winner
“Very impressive service”
For work I'm lucky to have been able to stay at places like Four Seasons/The Peninsula etc., however the service at this hotel is spectacularly impressive! I can say with confidence that the service might actually be better than the venerable Four Seasons. Of course the rooms are small but look at the price and the location you're getting for it...close to everything but just quiet enough being on Madison.
“Great find.”
I always like to stay somewhere near the Empire State building when in NYC because many of the cab drivers don't know where hotels are located. So when I saw this hotel near the ESB, I gave it a try. What a wonderful hotel. What separated it from others was an outside patio with lounges. How many NYC hotels offer that. The room was typically small and there was very little drawer space for clothes. The bathroom was very compact with a short bathtub. But the friendly service, the wonderful breakfast bar and the patio made up for any shortcomings. Smokers should particularly like this hotel if they get a patio.
“Be back soon”
Selected from previous reviews and did not let us down - the staff, location, ammenities were second to none.Lounge bar and restaurant a bit expensive but was also a bit upmarket and therefore expected. Thought it funny all previous had mentioned the comfy beds - wow , best nights sleep for years, I want one !The map given at reception became our bible and all our books were redundant the staff could not do enough for us and the free access to laptops and printers proved very beneficial, Walking distance to Sq Gardens but best to get taxi to Time Sq, reasonable - will go back - even if it is just for a decent nights sleep.
