“Pleasantly surprised with this Hotel”

My husband and I needed a room close to a business appointment. We had stayed at The Sandcastle before and was not particularly happy with the room. We were pleasantly surprised to find the new renovations since our last stay. Very good Continental Breakfast and our room was very comfortable. Also enjoyed the pool which was located on our floor. My husband and I will plan to stay there again next year, in March, for our annual business appointment.

I am extremely satisfied with the Sandcastle. It is the perfect place to stay for a long weekend. I had have stayed their twice this year (2010) and hope to go back several more times. I had an oceanview room! It is clean, close to everything, and friendly staff! Highly recommend!!

“Way better than expected!”

I booked this hotel at the last minute and with a small budget. It was the most affordable for the 4th of July weekend. The pictures made me skeptical of staying. I am a germ phobe for real! When we got to the hotel we were very shocked to see the rooms remodeled in such beautiful decor. I was very impressed with the hotel staff and staying quarters. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION is AWESOME!

“Nice hotel”

As an older but newly renovated hotel, I think it was pretty nice. I'm a newly college graduate and I believe it suited me well. If there are large groups staying in the hotel (like a highschool group) it isn't very soundproof from the hallways. The lobby/corridors are a little obviously renovated but I thoughts the rooms were wonderful. New beds and the oceanfront balcony made the room a plus. Also, the location is key. The hotel is pretty much in the middle of everything and there's always something to do nearby. Most of the staff in the hotel were very friendly and accomodating. For my needs and budget, I think the hotel was perfect. I would absolutely stay there again.

The SandCastle Hotel is a very nice place to stay. Had Ocean Front room and it was all that was needed. The contential breakfast was just enough. Didn't expect so much entertainment on the boardwalk itself so that added to my relaxed and enjoyable weekend at SandCastle Hotel. You can bet I will look into staying here again.

“Old but clean & convenient”

This hotel has convenient parking on site. The breakfast cafe was well stocked and the attendant was friendly and courteous. There were 3 waffle makers which added to the usual toast, buns & cereal and was a pleasant surprise. The desk staff were friendly and checkin was quick. The beds were firm and there were plenty of towels. The only negative was that the air conditioning seemed to be either on or off and seems to be a retro-fit into the old heating system. The TV was old and a TV guide would have added to the viewing since there was only a slowly rotating guide channel on this cable instead of an interactive guide as is on satellite TV. Overall we found this a great value for our money and will definitely be back again.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel location was exactly what we wanted. The room was very nice and clean with a wonderful view. The breakfast was good every morning. The beach was great and we really enjoyed the Navy aircraft flying around.The parking garage was to low for my vehicle(GMC Sierra) so we had to park in a lot across the street but, it turned out not to be a big deal. We think the hotel could use a new coat of paint but overall was nice.

“Family Fun”

Recently stayed at the Sandcastle Oceanfront Resort with my husband and two children (ages 12 and 14). The room was great...the refrig. and microwave were very handy. The view from the 5th floor was spectacular. Having breakfast included every morning helped to start our days right. No eggs or bacon, but the belgian waffles, assortment of cereals, muffins, danishes, orange juice, milk and coffee were more than sufficient. Loved having a convenience store on the first floor for quick pick ups. Beds were very comfortable and maid service was excellent. The kiddie carnival is right next to the hotel, the bigger kid carnival is across the street and the fishing pier is just a few steps outside the back door. Oh and the beach...well that's in the backyard! How cool is that?!!!!
