We have previously had pleasant stays at Westridge motor inn. The rooms are clean and have been updated. In the last couple of years I believe the management has changed as certain amazing services have become just so so. No housekeeping during your stay, no daily check in for refreshed room items (towels, coffee, toilet paper). On check in we were not made aware of this so when we went to the lobby to ask for these items we were treated rudely by the female owner and made to feel as though we were a huge inconvenience. This lady should never speak to customers. We were told we should have asked the housekeepers that were “everywhere” and when we politely explained we had been out for most of the day and didn’t know the procedure she continued to look very put out that we were in need of room basics (coffee and toilet paper). This was at 630pm.
There is a bad smell in the front office like rancid garbage with incense to try to cover it up and while the rooms are clean the smell of the cleaning products is sickeningly sweet.
The pool is much colder. It used to be the perfect temp regardless of weather, in fact their slogan was “come in, the water is fine”. Now it’s cold and the patio around the pool is not being kept as nicely. This used to be a diamond in the rough…I’d say it’s just rough now. These experiences really left a bad taste for us and we unfortunately will be looking for better places to stay in the future where our patronage is appreciated.
