Staff were really helpful and friendly, room was lovely, pool was amazing and breakfast was delicious (just basic - choice of eggs/pancakes/cereal and bread, fruit platter, juice and coffee). The location is great, near good restaurants and shops. Only a ten minute walk to the riverfront. If you don't like stairs, you might want to ask for a room on the ground floor. We were on the third and there were a lot of steep stairs to get to our room. We would stay here again. For the price we were really impressed.
This was my 4th stay at this hotel
I find it good value for money. It offers clean comfortable accommodation, with good shower facilities and good air-con.
Although a common fault throughout all of Asia, the restaurant staff need to learn how to make a proper espresso.
1). the cup needs to be warm, ( because so little liquid gets cold very quick.)
2). The coffee needs to be strong and freshly ground. ( if coffee beans are ground and then left, all the flavour and aromas just evaporate from it )
3). It should only be about one mouth-full of liquid in the cup at most. ( an espresso is not a long drink ).
I recently spent several nights at the One up. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and kind. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Room was clean and comfortable. Was lovely to wake up and be able to make a coffee or tea. Bathroom was small but adequate and water was hot. Just a short walk to restaurants, but always a tuk-tuk at the ready if necessary. Staff were always very obliging with a ready smile. Loved my stay...thank you Arun for making it so enjoyable! Would definitely stay here again - well worth the money.
On arrival the hotel manager was at reception to meet and welcome me to the hotel. Ate in the hotel first night and the food and staff were excellent. Each day the manager made an effort to speak to all guests and was extremely helpful in recommending things to do.
Small hotel but great place to stay - will always stay there when in Cambodia.
