“An Oasis in Patong Beach”
Situated at the southern part of Patong beach, the Amari is set in it's own lush tropical landscaped grounds, and faces the sea along the full length of the resort. It has a Jetty that is a fair walk form the main building but definitely worthwile. Our room overlooked the sea, the waves lapping beneath our balcony. The room was a standard one but was well maintained and very clean. Complimentary tea / coffee in the room as well as a daily supply of drinking water. A free newsaper is also provided daily. A good selection of restaurants on site, with themed nights - the Seafood BBQ was excellent (wine with the meal pushes up the cost but compliments the meal and atmosphere). The excellent buffet breakdfast caters for all tastes and is well presented and of a good quality standard. The 2 swimming pools are great! plenty of towels.If you want to go to the beach or on a day trip to the Islands, the hotel will let you take their towels (available from the concierge desk). Only downside (for some) is the fact that hotel is built on the side of a hill overlooking the sea; so lots of steps to climb (there is a lift located in the lobby area that serves all levels but some steep inclines will need to be faced). On the upside - the steps help burn the holiday calories. Easy access to Patong: beach, Bangala Road etc; Suggest walking into town (downhill) and take a Tuk Tuk back fromthe town to the hotel.

Great location. 5 minutes walk from town but far enough to be out of the hassle/hustle and bustle. Grounds were wonderful. Staff were polite and helpful. Buildings with the rooms are a bit dated and basic (particularly from the outside) but overall the hotel is highly recommended and great value.

the location is set in beautiful gardens over an extensive area with excellent views, which made it a perfect relaxing destination for a holiday. the meals, especially the buffet breakfast, were top class. we found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful.

This hotel was great. The breakfast was splendid. The La Gritta restaurant was terrific. We had a farewell dinner, it was tops! The hotel grounds were quiet and away from all the vendors. The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. I would go back and recommend it to friends. by the way, we were treated extra special since it was our 13th anniversary.
“Excellent hotel with great service”
I stayed at the Amari Coral Beach hotel in Phuket from 22nd to 29th September 2011 together with my family. The service level and friendliness of the staff in all areas of the hotel was excellent, as was the quality of the buffet breakfast which was included in the room rate. The hotel location is great as it is within walking distance of the central Patong area (20 min walk) and Patong beach but also far enough away to escape the noise and bustle of Patong when required. The only small downside is that the hotel does not provide a shuttle service into central Patong (many other Amari hotels have a shuttle service). If guests dont wish to walk they have to endure the grossly overpriced tuk-tuk touts waiting outside the hotel entrance
