"This is an ideal hotel when visiting Sintra. It is a short walk downhill to the town center and a short walk to paths up to the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace. The hotel is immaculately clean and our room had a very comfortable king-sized bed. The view out our window overlooking the palace in the heart of Sintra was lovely. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. The concierge was exceedingly helpful with directions and advice. Two considerations, neither the hotel’s fault: Sintra is an old town...

"We very much enjoyed our stay and the owner was extremely helpful and attentive. The view from the property was amazing and our room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic and gave a lot of options. We unfortunately didnt get to make full use of the property because of the weather, but if you have a nice day the outside amenities would be very nice. "

"The location, size, staff and amenities were all excellent. Only negative was the shower, which was very impractical and the toilet area which was quite small and awkward. If you get up a night and forget about the step, it could be a hazard. Everything else was perfect. Would stay again, maybe try a different room with a better bathroom. "

"Lovely old style hotel with quirky features. Fantastic location in old town. Not suitable if difficulty with stairs. Air-con not working first night but provided with fan and fixed next day, as was toilet flush mechanism. Excellent breakfast and friendly service. Shame window could not be opened at night as shutters only way of keeping out light. "

"This place was a true gem! It is centrally located close to all metro, bus, and train stations so it was very easy to get around! Manuel was so kind & greeted us on arrival and gave a full tour of the place. It was very clean & wish we could have stayed longer at this beautiful place! Loved the balcony view! "

"This is an excellent small hotel a few minutes walk from Porto airport. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast basket, brought to your room at the time of your choice, was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. We understand they offer an airport shuttle but we didn't work out how to request it, and it was a nice afternoon so we were happy to walk. Maybe you have to phone from the airport?"

"The staff was wonderful-especially, Pedro. He was professional, yet, personable. The room was clean; however, the bathroom shower walls and glass door was beginning to have mold in spots. "

"This was a one night stay and close to the bus station. Easy to find,.just inside the wall and very modern and clean inside. Room was nice, no frills, but comfortable, and quiet. The bed was super comfortable and big!! They stores our bags for us the next day after checkout too "

"Great stay with very friendly service. If you’re a walker it was a great location to get everywhere I wanted by foot. Since I was there for part of Easter weekend I even came back on my last day to find a container of meats, cheeses, fruits, and chocolate in my room! "

"Very clean and affordable, walking distance to many attractions of interest. Staff was kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place. I stayed in an 8 person dorm with shared bathroom and the facilities were very clean and safe. Rooms were set up so that each person also had privacy as well. Near restaurants and grocery shops, and metro. "
