“great hotel, great location”
Lovely hotel only a 10 min walk to the castle. Tram outside the door. Easy access to everything.
“good location”
all good-- except wish they had told us how to use the tram when we asked--the resturant was super great value--staff a joy
“Excellent base to see the sights in Prague. Tram stop just outside.”
Great Hotel - not luxurious but very good value for money. Clean and everything you need. The air conditioning was useful as it was very hot. Only criticism would be that it would did not have a lot of choice for breakfast for English/British guests but nevertheless overall excellent value. Very near to Prague castle which is amazing.
“Easy access from city center and airport by tram & bus”
Wanted a reasonably priced hotel in good location to city center & airport that would be safe and hospitable for 2 women friends. Found it all here. Cab from airport $30.U.S. Bought 3-day transportation pass which includes airport, just needed 2 buses or 1 bus, 1 tram to hotel. Saved $60+ on cab r.t. Hotel is very clean as were the room. Bed a little too firm for my taste but didn't plan on living there. Nice breakfast included in rate. Cereals, yogurt, juices, coffee, teas, eggs 2 ways, sausages, etc. all buffet style. Would definately stay again. Staff at desk speak impecable English and were very helpful. Even packed breakfast of fruit and 2 sandwiches, 1 ham, 1 cheese which is standard fare for Europe since we had very early flight departure. Was surprised it was not on Trip Advisor so on return home on Oct. 5 notified this site of a good hotel and now is on their list. Trip Advisor was very helpful on my trip to Paris in March; so, now I always check them before locking in any plans for Europe.
“Very Comfortable stay”
This is a very good hotel, very comfortable and convieniently located. Rooms were clean and well laid out, the bed was very comfortable, all the usual stuff thats expected in hotels i.e. soap, towels, tv, phone etc... Its a shame the swimming pool is not free to residents that was a massive let down. However, the hotels proximity to Prague castle and the centre of town makes up for it. A tram stop is located outside the hotel, but driving is just as easy and its relatively easy and cheap to park in town. I would definitely go back
“good hotel, albeit not cheap”
Breakfast was good, room was clean and comfy, staff was helpful (e.g. they gave us a better map than the one we had, and help in understanding the local public transportation). It is located next to multiple streetcar-lines, so transportation is easy. Also close to the castle.
“Good Hotel”
Great hotel in a good location for the price you pay - about a 15min walk from the bustling centre of town, the Castle and the world famous and beautiful Charles Bridge. In fact we walked every where during our stay as you really can then take in so much more. Staff spoke good english and were very helpful. Breakfast was satisfactory - have had better buffets and did when we checked into a more expensive pre-booked hotel in the centre of town, for the last 2 days of our stay in Prague. Only real gripe about the hotel were the beds - very uncomfortable as they were so hard. Also not great for a romantic getaway with my husband as the double beds were just 2 single beds pushed together. This meant you then had an uncomfortable gap in the middle of the bed which caused my husband and I to sleep completely apart from each other - no cuddles - not good!
“OK but not as closed to the airport as I imagined it to be”
Breakfast was good and with many food options. Room was cleaned but basic.
“Good stay”
Overall the hotel was adequate. I had never been to the Czech Republic before so I did not know what to expect. The hotel was clean and orderly, however the beds were very hard and the room temperature was too high. That might have been because it was unexpectedly warm during our stay. The breakfast buffet was nice with a wide selection, however, there was a large group of American teenagers staying at the hotel and the noise level was unacceptable.
“Comfortable, Great location”
We stayed for 5 nights at the Pyramida Hotel. It was very comfortable. The room was nice, very clean. No bathroom amenities other than shower cap and cotton disks. Great shower, though! Although I'd read in previous reviews that the staff was not nice, I didn't find that to be the case at all. Good buffet breakfast of meats, cheeses, some hot foods, cereals and salads. Only problem there was to get to the breakfast room you have to walk through the smoking area - WHEW!!! Best of all was the location. Walking distance to Strahov Monastery, then from there to the castle. For those who don't want to walk, the #22 and 23 trams stop right out front and go everywhere you need to go (or connect to any other transportation). Best of all, there's a transportation ticket machine directly outside the front door of the hotel, making it all really easy!
