“Great Hotel for the Price and Location”
The hotel is great for the price and location. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. The airport shuttle is NOT complimentary though.
“very good”
its very good hotel
“Very good customer service, would definitely go back!”
Didn't know when I reserved the hotel that it was a hostile, but was very impressed with the treatment by the hotel personnel. Rooms were cleaned daily and the help was always gracious and willing to help. The hotel offered tours and great advice. Would definitely stay at the Mithila again!
“Nice, Little Hotel in San Francisco”
While in San Francisco I stayed at the Mithila Hotel. Do not expect a fancy hotel with a great marble entrance and lots of lights, but a small, family hotel right downtown San Francisco in a really nice neighborhood. Rooms are small, but good enough to fit your necessities while traveling. I have to say that it is really clean. The staff is always there to help you with a smile on their face.
“San Fracisco's Convenience Hotel”
The people is nice, the location is very good, close from union square, and if your budget is restricted as was mine, this is a good choice.
“Good location, cheap and clean”
I was travelling alone and I didn't have a lot of money. So, of course I would prefer a Hilton, but if like me you prefer use your money with other things in the city, this is a good hotel to stay. Since I was alone, my room was very good for me. Bed, bathroom, refrigerator, a table, a place to my suitcase... Very clean, every day they cleaned it. The shower was good, warm and enough water and clean towels. The mirror is not perfect for us ladies because it is not possible to see our feet. Kind of dark to put make up on too. But nothing impossible to do. Bring your own shampoo and soap, they give, but you know... It is very cheap. The smell outside the room it is not bad but it is not pleasant. I tried to call the hotel from the Airport because I wanted to confirme near which metro station the hotel was located and nobody answered the phone. Even there, many times there is nobody in the "reception". The elevator is old too, but at least you don't have to go up with your suitcases, like in some hostels. The breakfast is awful. Anyway, for the price, was very good, but they offer as I said only the essential!
“I am happy”
Mithila gives bang for your back. I wish they had better breakfast and toiletries though.
“Convenient lodging”
The hotel is decent in that it is extremely close to both Union Square and Pier 39. However, my only problem was that I had to park at garage seperate from the hotel ($14 a day.) Therefore, be ready to carry your luggage all the way back to the hotel!
“No frills, but I don't need any”
The Mithila Hotel was perfect for my trip -- reasonably priced and within walking distance of downtown. There are no frills here: the room was small, the "continental breakfast" consisted of bad coffee and a tray of danishes, and the TV only got a handful of channels. But I was in town for business, and all I needed was a room with a table where I could set up my laptop. It's an old hotel with a lot of character, a great location, and a good value. I'd stay there again.
“Not the world's most luxurious hotel, but cute and cozy”
Cute little hotel with kind/helpful staff. The room (queen with private bathroom) was a little small, but perfectly suited our needs. (It had a queen bed with nightstand, table and chair, TV stand/bureau with TV service, all with a little bit of leftover floorspace for wiggle room.) And they DO now have shampoo packets in the bathrooms --(I believe some other reviews stated they did not). Do be warned that the "breakfast" portion of this B&B consists of tastykake-esque storebought danishes and some coffee next to the front desk. However, for the reasonalbe price we were well-satisfied with our stay at the Mithila.
