"Extremely noisy. The live “animation “ outdoor, family friendly entertainment went until 1:00 EVERY night. Price was extra for AC, breakfast, and mandatory fee for beach and pool. Needs to be explained better in description. This is ideal for the family vacation since it is not near any public transportation so must have a rental car to see any of Sicily, but most families stay all day, all night. "What a wonderful hotel and staff! Our plans in Siciliy changed and when we looked for a reasonably priced and highly rated hotel La Paloma Blanca in Sciacca came up! We loved it! It's a beautiful hotel, the staff went above and beyond for us even though we didn't speak Italian (Google translate helped!) and its within walking distance of wonderful restaurants, shops, parks, and tourist sites in the city. There are no towels at the pool. Theres a train that takes you to a beautiful beach and honestly that was the only thing making us happy until it broke down and we had to walk back with our 3 yr old twins. The staff at the buffet will watch you like hawks and correct you if you do something they dont approve of. Sicilians are just a whole different breed, I swear. Almost no one here at the hotel speaks English."
