“Yes”
Very decent priced 3 star hotel, great location only 2 mins walk from Nanjing East station on the green line which is great for getting to other attractions around Shanghai. Room condition pretty good for the price, a little small but clean and well maintained. Recommend it to anyone who is planning a trip to Shanghai for a few days.
“No-frills hotel”
This is a no-frills hotel. The front desk clerks are not very friendly but did they job. Not very accomodating, but not rude either. Overall, a "comfortable enough" stay. Nice looking outside and lobby, but rooms are very simple, with poor ventilation. If you open the windows, there is an ugly smell of cooking and more from the neighborhood. The airconditioner is not the best. The bathroom had some mold, and is not in the best maintenance. The carpet had some stains. The bed was HARD, as they are supposed to be in all of China. Ask for room on 4th floor and up. We ended up using the room only to sleep, as we would leave to go sightseeing early in the morning and come back late at night to sleep. So the room served its purpose, especially because of the low price. If you plan on spending much time in the room, better go to another hotel. The best thing about the hotel was its close proximity to Nanjing pedestrian road, just about 100 feet away, down the rundown street where the hotel is. Also, the subway is about 150 feet away from the hotel and in Shanghai the subway is very efficient and cheap.
“Good and clean but noisy”
The hotel is in good condition and the room was clean and spacious (I stayed in a deluxe twin). The only downside, which was a sizeable one, was the complete lack of sound-proofing. My room faced the Street (Shanxi St.) which was noisy until late at night, and made my stay less relaxing. Try asking for a room not facing the street (but I'm not sure if those would be any better). Otherwise, the hotel is in a SUPER convenient location for sight-seeing, and I was happy with it.
“JUST TO SLEEP AND FORGET ABOUT THE HOTEL STAFF”
The hotel location is very convenient to all exclussive shopping area and side seeing. Muslim food is difficult to find around this area. The hotel staff is noso curtiest. recommend if you you just want to sleep and go out for shopping. Thanks
“Bed is WAY TOO HARD!! You won't get a good night's rest. Location & staff was great though.”
Hotel was in a great great location. Nanjing Rd was our backyard, Metro is a leisurely stroll away. Typical 2 star hotel, clean, no fuss, no luxury. Staff was great and spoke english! Better English than most places in Shanghai. But the bed was way too hard!! It ruined my stay because I could not get a good night's rest. I will stay in a better hotel w/ MUCH softer beds next time.
“NO air conditioning at night”
Well located, but the air condition was turned off at night (we stayed there in May); they asked us to open the window, but the street was noisy and smelled bad.
