Rooms
The Safety Harbor Resort offers 174 guestrooms with views of the bay, outdoor pools, or landscaped grounds. Guestrooms are decorated with décor inspired by the resort's waterfront location. Water from natural mineral springs is available throughout the resort.

Fountain Grille - Casual restaurant featuring Mediterranean-style cuisine with a Caribbean influence in many of the specialties dishes. Alfresco dining is available overlooking a spring-fed fountain. Seasonal entertainment on weekends. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Tiki Bar - Seasonal poolside bar serving specialty drinks, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Open late-morning until dusk.
La Sardine lobby lounge - serving "Champagne Brunch" each Sunday from 11 AM - 2:30 PM.
Entertainment
Tampa Bay Lounge - The lounge features 5 large-screen HDTVs, a pool table, darts, jukebox and video games. The lounge opens at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and opens at noon on Sunday.
Recreation
The Safety Harbor Resort's three pools—indoor and outdoor lap pools, and a leisure pool—contain purified mineral springs water. Spa tubs, saunas, personal hydrotherapy, and steam rooms are also on site.
The Tennis Academy provides individual and group instruction at all levels on seven Har-Tru courts (surcharge for access). The fitness center offers cardio and weight training equipment, personal training, and classes including aqua exercises, yoga, Pilates, and Tai Chi.
Biking and walking trails surround the resort and wind along the bay and through parks.

Spa
The Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is located on the tranquil shores of Tampa Bay. The waterfront resort was built in 1945 on natural mineral springs, and discovered by Spanish explorers searching for the fountain of youth. Designated a Florida Heritage Landmark, this secluded property has been known to business and leisure travelers as a place “where healing waters flow” for the therapeutic value of its waters.

“Great place to stay”
Very nice hotel with all the amenities you could want. The front desk staff was always friendly and willing to help with recommendations and directions. It was relaxing and quiet, a great place to get away from it all. We will definately return there.
“Peaceful quiet getaway”
The Safety Harbor Resport and Spa is a wonderful place to go for a peaceful quiet getaway. Our room recently remodeled was huge, the bedding soft and comfortable and very quiet. The staff at the spa was extremely helpful and definitely if going as a couple indulge in the couples massage it was out of this world. Breakfast buffet was plentiful, fresh and worth going downstairs for. Only complaint was the elevator was cool and drafty.
“Lovely oasis in Florida”
Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is a lovely hotel, with a perfect setting on Tampa Bay. Our room had just been renovated, and the view of Tampa Bay from our balcony was tranquil. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Dinner ends at 9:00 pm, room service at 10:00 pm, so any guest needs to know this is not a late night destination. It is very restful, more in tune with the "fountain of youth" theme of the spa on the grounds of the hotel. I would stay here again.
“Relaxing bit of paradise!”
We stayed Feb. 8-13, 2007. Safety Harbor Resort & Spa is a beautiful haven tucked quietly behind the craziness of Route 19. Our Bayview room was new and spacious. The beds were piled with high-quality linen. The leather reading chair and marble in the bathrooms are another high end touch. Plenty of room at the balcony. We enjoyed the natural spring water -- both for drinking and swimming in. Pool was perfect temperture. Great lawn in the back with a small sandy beach and hammocks. Staff was efficient and helpful. Some may find the hallways connecting the different buildings confusing. We chose to think of it as part of the "adventure." Only negatives: could not get wireless connection in the areas that were supposed to be free. There is an in-room charge for WI-FI. Also, elevators look a quite worn, but worked well.
“A beautiful hotel and experience”
The Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is a wonderful place to stay while in Florida. As you drive up to the hotel the first thing you will notice is the beauty of this place, with flowers and landscaping that is a treat for your eyes. It is near the beaches in Clearwater and other attractions. The gym is huge, it is quiet and peaceful and all the other amenities are as described in the information about the resort. The only flaw would be the 'gravel' parking lot for general parking. It was full of holes and after it rained they quickly filled with water. But, there was plenty of parking and we were always pretty close to the entrance. All in all we would surely recommend this hotel.

Very impressed on the room and enjoyed my stay. Glad to be able to use the workout room every morning and be greeted at the desk from some nice ladies.
“Would like to go back”
We picked this hotel as we wanted a central location to travel around the area. The car parking was easy and free, even on 4th July when the hotel was really busy. We arrived on 4th when there was a fantastic firework display and a good party atmosphere. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel as the food was good and reasonably priced.
“wonderful, cant wait to go back”
what i thought was a one time trip too st petersburg has now turned into i cant wait too go back. im making this one of my favorite vacation spots. about 12 miles from beach so very peaceful, i loved lounging in any of the 3 pools or 2 hottubs. i loved the little shopping area around and such such a pretty place for morning walks. i was tempted too write a bad review too keep it a secret, but couldnt do that. i was never more relaxed. great food also, not one bad meal, and i ate at the tiki bar for lunch 2x and fountain grill once for breakfast and dinner yummy.

I stayed here because my Aunt was in the local hospital. My decision was based solely on it's proximity, price and rating. What I found was a true gem. Everything about my stay was perfect. The resort has on premises a full service spa, a restaurant, two bars, a pool, conference rooms and facilities, etc. The buildings, the rooms, the common areas are all maintained impeccably. The room was bright, decorated very nicely, had very luxurious bedding and was sparkling clean. Every one of the management and staff at the resort were friendly, experienced and always helpful. The General Manager has assembled a remarkable team of employees who understand what customer service is all about. My stay was dictated by my aunt's medical condition, so the front desk staff had to extend my stay three times. Despite being booked solid over the weekend, my stay was extended and I never had to change rooms. The bar and restaurant staff were delightful. The housekeeper was great and the room was always perfect. The maintenance staff were friendly and cleaned the facility and pool area each day. Every day someone from the staff would ask how my aunt was doing. It didn't matter which group of employees, someone always asked how she was doing. I have stayed at some very nice places, but Safety Harbor Resort and Spa has exceeded them all by leaps and bounds. It truly is a destination resort. I will certainly be staying there again. It is absolutely the best.

Awesome. But do yourself a favor and stay in the Tower section of the hotel -the rooms were huge, well appointed, and emaculate.
