Serves modern international a la carte fare, typified by dishes such as Blackened Salmon with Wasabi Reduction, Fillet of Blue Marlin in Puff Pastry and Roasted Lamb with Crispy Feta Rolls. Open for lunch and dinner.
Amaranten Bar & Lounge - Lively, informal bar used as the setting for the ‘Drickbart' television programme. White columns and polished wooden floors are complemented by black tables and leather sofas, dark-chocolate fabrics, and red floor-length drapes. The lounge area features silver wallpaper with floral patterns and hosts exhibitions of painting and photography. Serves a selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails and offers a bar menu of light dishes such as Toast with Swedish Crayfish and Potato Tortilla with Chorizo. Open daily until late.
Breakfast Room -Large, bright dining area hosting photographic exhibitions. Serves hot and cold breakfast buffets every morning, including meat, cheese, pickled herring, cereal and fresh fruit, with a Japanese breakfast buffet during summer.
Recreation
The nearest golf course is within 20 kilometres of the hotel. The Kungsträdgården park on Norrmalm, one kilometre away, offers opportunities for outdoor ice skating during the winter months. Cyclists will find an abundance of cycle paths threading through the city, and joggers can follow Kungsholmen's canal-side paths.

“Will definitely being going back”
We visited Stockholm in November 2005 and stayed at the First Hotel Amaranten with an Expedia special rate which made it even better! The hotel was lovely and just what you'd expect from a 4 star. The staff were very friendly and the rooms very comfortable. We will definitely be going back and the breakfast is not to be missed!
“Perfect for seeing Old Town!”
My three college nieces and I enjoyed the location of this very clean, modern, convenient hotel. We left the car parked in the underground garage and took the subway from around the corner to anywhere in Stockholm. Old Town, City Hall, shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance of the hotel. Very helpful hotel staff. We highly recommend and will stay again ourselves when in Stockholm on business or pleasure.

rooms spacious and well appointed - loved the sauna and pool - very helpful staff - superb breakfast - sets you up for the whole day - the old town just a short strll away going along by the river - didnot realise how much water there is in Stckholm

“Lovely hotel Stockholm”
As I was here on business I didn't get to see/use many of the amenities here, but its a great hotel. room was lovely, and a very nice sports bar/restaurant attached.

Not many places to eat around, however it was a holiday while we were there so lots of places were closed.

Clean but in need of some refurbishment. Room was small but sufficient for a business trip.
