"I thought the gorilla theme was really cute and liked the shared space dorm feeling. Some guests were cheerful and not especially quiet but once it got late it was quiet and we slept well. It actually felt festive and pleasant. The bath facilities were clean. There could have been more garbage bins as they got full quickly and it became difficult to separate. The space had a good feeling and it was comfortable to sleep on futons even as a family. There's not much privacy so it might not be great...

Absolute godsend for my needs and was close to a convenience store, laundromat, and other businesses. Train station was less than a 5 minute walk. Amenities were perfect and covered every possible need. Safe to say this is the best hotel in Kyoto."

"A lovely, family-run, old fashion Inn. The perfect place to stay to get a feel of proper Japanese culture. Close to the subway, and if you're into walking, an easy walk away from Osaka castle. Nothing much in the local area otherwise."

"We stayed in a 4-beds room, all furniture is in good condition. The setting is same as shown. The room has some spaces to open up 2 large suitcases. The washroom and shower room are separate, and towels are provided. I will suggest to add some hooks in the shower room for handing the towels."

"Location was convenient and close to transportation, shopping and food. Lack of elevator made it hard to move heavy luggage up multiple flights of stairs. The dish sponge in our room had hair on it and we saw a cockroach in our room the first night. "

"Service was excellent, rooms and facilities were kept clean. Didn't need to wait to use the facilities. Basic and small but excellent location and friendly helpful staff! First room was noisy as it was on the main road but the window didn't seem to close properly or offer sufficient sound proofing. "

"We were first greeted by Miao the cat at the front desk, and had a lovely stay. The room was clean and comfortable and had its own sink with hot water. Our floor had a kitchen and the building had an elevator. Sometimes Miao came up the elevator with me and sat in the kitchen. I highly recommend this hotel!"

"It was a good stay at Hotel Abitare Namba West. Pretty close to the Shinawaga station and walkable to the JR Namba and Dontonburi street if you wanted. "
