Good location and nice service. Restaurant next to lobby is really good, it was going under remodeling, I hope it covers the rooms, they seem old.

The staff was nice as usual. The room was not a clean as normal. We use the dest to study, so when we moved it, there was stuff spilled all down the wall and the floor was gross. The beds were clean but the bathroom towels, 2 seemed dirty and smelled funny. We had a late check out at 12pm. Housekeeping came at 9:44 am knocking to see if we were checking out that day, we said yes but had a late checkout at noon. Then another one came at just before 11 am and asked the same thing. We had a delayed flight so that is why we asked for a late checkout. We were woken up then asked a second time. It is what it is, but a big lack in communication for sure between the staff. We stayed every month there for school but sinece the change over have definitely gone backwards.

I was there for 2 concerts at the Rogers arena. Hotel is well situated and close to everything. I was travelling alone and had no concerns with safety. Construction noises can be a bit irritating but this isn’t the hotel’s fault. Very close to Granville which is a very lively and busy street with every food option available. Sunset Beach is a few blocks away. I had hot water the entire stay. Beds weren’t the greatest but not the worst either.

A few blocks from the water taxi stop to Granville Island: super convenient. The room's floors were sticky and the toilet tank leaked: room 411.

Awful experience. They charge $28 per night for parking and the parking garage had rats running around everywhere. There was rat feces pretty much wall to wall, you literally could not walk in that garage without stepping in the rat poop. There was piles of trash that had not been taken out in probably weeks (probably causing the terrible rat issue). Our room smelled like smoke, the bed had stains on it, and there was no comforter on the bed. The bathtub also had mildew/mold growing in between the tiles. We immediately turned our room keys in and found a different hotel at 11:00 PM. They have a strict no refund policy even though their building is uninhabitable and the pictures did not match what was on their website.

Ours was not a pleasant stay at this hotel. Our room and bathroom was very dirty, there was extremely loud construction happening downstairs which we were not warned about by the hotel upon booking (we would have booked elsewhere), the corridor carpets were filthy, the décor feels like it has not been updated since the 70s, and the cleaners were chatting and laughing very loudly in the hallways early in the morning which woke us up. When we complained, we were given brunch vouchers and were told that brunch was served at the adjoined White Spot until 2pm. When we turned up to White Spot to have our brunch we were told that they could only be used until 11am, which was conflicting information than we had been given. The only saving grace was that the staff who did our check-in were very friendly and helpful. However, the staff upon our check-out were quite different. Unfortunately we won't be recommending this hotel.

The hotel is in a rundown area of Vancouver and walking on Granville was a little sketchy. It appears to be a student hotel and the kitchen on the top floor was a nice touch. The room was spotless but the bathroom was musty and damp smelling. No view on the back of the building on the lower floors.
