The hotel itself and room were nice, clean and comfortable. However, I had called to ask to check in one hour early. They said they only had one room that would be available at that time, and it would be smaller and on the first floor than the room I booked. I was fine with that, but I did specifically ask if it would be a quiet room as I had early meetings and needed a good nights sleep. I was assured "oh don't worry, sir... very quiet. You will get a good nights sleep guaranteed."
Uhhh, no. The room was situated right on Granville Street, across the street from bars, tons of screaming, shouting homeless people, cop cars, ambulances, buses, cars blaring music. I got maybe 2 hours sleep. I would avoid staying here if they are so comfortable knowingly giving customers a terrible stay. It is also in an increasingly unsafe area of Vancouver... tons of homeless people, super dirty and skuzzy part of town. Definitely a disappointing stay, and I won't be booking this hotel again.
