“Waunakee WI”

Wireless internet was down in room but available in room...room rate was adjusted for this inconvience. Was our anniversary and staff was helpful finding a place for my husband to purchase flowers early in the morning to give me at breakfast. Nice quiet location...will stay again.

“Very Satisfactory”

We don't like to listen to the bathroom fan 100% of the time the lights are on; both are on the same switch. Double switch them, lights on one & fan on the other!

“Very Helpful Manager”

This is a nice place. Cheaper than most of this chain in area. Not far from Madison. 6 miles from freeway. The manager was very helpful when I called on account of I thought I left a coat. She went and checked the room, talked to the cleaner and everything.

“Off the beaten path but comfortable”

Although this hotel is a bit away from downtown Madison, it was clean and the drive was really not bad. The only downside is they don't have an elevator to the second floor, but they were more than accomodating when we asked to move to a "handicap" accessible room on the first floor. The staff was "Midwest" friendly and we give them KUDOS for their hospitality (it made up for the other very small inconvienences).

“not impressed”

when the room was booked I was assured they had a pool. This is VERY important to us. When we checked in we discovered the pool was not useable. We were told maybe later the manager will take a water sample. Never happened.We checked out early.Very dissapointed!

“Mostly +'ve experience... with some caveats”

This Country Inn hotel is a bit older than others we have stayed at but generally a good choice for traveling families or visitors to this area. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were generally helpful. The only reason why we gave the hotel some lower marks is because the housekeeping was not what we expected. We got clean towels and the beds were made every day, but we're not sure that the room was vaccumed once during our 5 night stay and the bathroom was definitely not cleaned fully one day. Details like replacing dead lightbulbs also went unattended, even when we left notes about them. A single guest may not notice these things, but with a family of 4 sharing a double-room, lapses such as these were quite noticeable. Bottom line, this was a perfectly acceptable lodging choice... just not stellar.

“it was close to where we needed to be”

They offered a good continental breakfast, the pool was nice along with the hot tub. The beds were comfortable and it's a quiet location. The only complaint that I have is the bathroom was a bit run down, showing signs of wear and tear however it was clean.

“Quiet and Felt Safe”

Although this hotel is 20 minutes to the north of Madison Wisconsin it was very quiet. The negative is that there is only a Culver's(hamburger) restaurant in the vicinity so I would suggest that if you are in the downtown Madison areas for work you would need to purchase food and stop at any stores while there. The breakfast is nothing to write home about but will tie you over til mid morning.

“Not impressed”

Pool was dirty. Room was very noisy. Building is aging and not built to be quiet or durable. Breakfast bar was very minimal. Okay for travelers staying one night and checking-in late and leaving early if not on a weekend.

“Find a different hotel”

Broken pool, moldy bathroom, old furnishings, crackly old tv. Not a good experience!
