“Fantastic Homebase in Wellington”
Although other traveler reviews that the club rooms could use a little sprucing up (furniture was a little old), everything else was absolutely fantastic. Internet in our room easy, fast and free! Club lounge coffee machine makes every coffee drink you could want. Our bed was one of the most comfortable ever. Definitely want to stay there next time we come to Wellington. And the price we got on Expedia was far less expensive than from Intercontinental.
“Very nice”
We were in Wellington for only one night on our way from Tongariro to Greymouth. We arrived late in the afternoon without a plan for dinner, and the concierge very helpfully suggested a convenient (and excellent) seafood restaurant nearby. The accomdations were very comfortable and clean. (The closet was a bit inconvenient.) If we return to Wellington, we are likely to stay here again.

“Exceptional one night stay in Wellington”
The InterContinental Wellington was only let down by one member of staff. As we drove into the front of the Hotel a member of staff was standing there, he ignored us, so we drove into the underground car park. Only after we had parked in the hotel car park section and booked in were we told that they had valet parking and someone should have parked the car for us. The Reception staff were exceptional, they offered us an upgrade, sorted out the parking, went over to the valet desk and checked in the car keys. Our room was quiet, clean, tidy, nicely decorated and had a city view. We used the business center for free internet access, printing, afternoon tea and breakfast. The business center staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay again at this Hotel on a visit to Wellington.

This hotel was great, nice rooms and extreamly helpful staff. Next time im in Wellington I will stay again.

“Happy and satisfied”
Overall very satisfactory; probably one of the better hotels in the central business district of Wellington. Being very close to the harbour front (for fantastic walks and views), visitor attractions (Te Pepe museum & botanical gardens) and shopping, the location is ideal. Hotel is showing some signs of age, as seen by the design of the room and building in general; however service was generally professional and the room was well appointed, roomy and clean.

The hotel looks like it has been spruced up a bit from my last visit 5 years ago. Most of the improvements seem to be in the room, but not the bathrooms that still look a bit dated. Good central location in the CBD.

Fantastic sized room, plenty of comfort with a good outlook. Breakfast was really expensive in the dining room on the basis that it was only a continental! I would not stay there for the dining experience.
