“Wise, VA Best Western”
Great hotel. Inexpensive, centrally located, clean, walking distance to shopping and multiple food choices, safe and clean neighborhood, clean hotel, great and very helpful staff.

Clean, adequate hotel for the money. Good restaurant right next door within walking distance, so there's no need to drive anywhere.

Hotel stay was wonderful. We would stay again. There was a great mountain view from room. The staff was very professional and friendly.

The check-in clerk was friendly and personable. The facility was small to medium sized but was nice. The pool and exercise room was also small but clean and sufficient. The continental breakfast was very good. They had sausage sandwiches, eggs stuffed with cheese, french toast, pancakes along with fresh fruit and cereals and danishes. Dining and chain store shopping (Walmart, K-Mart) was close by. There wasn't much to do as far as sightseeing though.

“Comfortable stay”
My only complaint was that the bed skirt was dirty.

Nomal room but the mattress is great. Lots of ice in the parking lot made things a bit treacherous.
“Good except for the odor”
The reason I did not rate the room and the motel higher is that I was given a room that was marked non-smoking but had to be a smoking room for a long time. There were ash trays in the room turned upside down. The room had a strong odor of being a smoking room as soon as the door was opened. Also the cigarette burns in the carpet were a definite indication that it was a smoking room very recently and for a very long time. Also the motel had an odorr to it as soon as I walked in the front door. The odor became stronger as I stepped into the elevator and also in the hallways. A musty or sour smell is not exactly correct but it was very noticeable. The room was very clean and well kept. Except for the smell of cigarettes that made it hard to relax the room was fine. When I got home and unpacked I noticed that my clothes had brought the same odor home that I had smelled in the room and motel
