"We stayed 3 nights at Pimalai and booked 3 nights here but checked out a day early due to weather and boredom. There’s nothing particularly wrong with this resort; the beach is nice, the breakfast is extensive, the villa is quite nice, the staff are reasonably friendly (the pool staff in particular were great). However, if you’re going to Koh Lanta, Pimalai was a step up in just about every way so it’s hard to advise staying at Layana unless you prefer the more lively location. "
