"This lodge is down a 16 mile road off of Hwy 118, about an hour drive to Big Bend National Park. It is cabins, RV spots and tent camping with a restaurant and pool. The staff are very friendly and the place is clean and well kept. It’s a great place for families, groups, and single/couples wanting a quiet, out of the way experience. "

"The property was nice and quiet. I see a lot of construction around and am happy to see all the new areas that are being adding to the property. We did enjoy our stay even though we arrived late and left early the next day. I feel we did not have time to adequately enjoy all the offerings."

"Doc and Wendy are such nice people they make you feel welcome from when you check in! The property is right on the river and is walking distance to the Whitewater Amphetheater if you are tubing or seeing a concert. If you don't mind walking, there is the Riverose Tavern and a small coffee hut open early to get a latte and bagel. Definately would recommend the Horsehoe Riverside lodge"

"It was very quiet and clean. The only minor issues was a couple harmless spiders but since the property is by a lake it was not an issue or surprise. "

"We stayed in March or 2024. The cabin was nice but the lake was very dry. No way to do any fishing or water related. I just wish they would have told us before the trip that the lake around them was bone dry and not at all what the pictures show. The staff was very friendly and we still had a great time. The tram ride is pretty cool. Rooms are what you would expect for a cabin made to house mountain bikers and off roaders. "
