"Each of the rooms had a theme based on a different city which was very quaint. Only issue was some wear to the labels on the lights- meant it took me forever to try to figure out how to turn off the lights because all the labels had been rubbed off. Staff was wonderful though!"

"This place is marvellous. Would recommend. I would have liked to know more about any ghosts in the property, but to be fair, I didn’t ask anyone who works there. Breakfast was delightful, lovely room. Great amenities. Lovely staff. Just a great place to stay. "

The Howard, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member
5.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (139)
"The hotel was supposed to be in a central location but it was 12 minutes walk to the shops and then a further 12 minutes walk to the bars, so it was too much effort to go out for a beer and something to eat on Saturday night. In cold weather conditions, you really needed to take a taxi everywhere. It was deadly quiet too with no atmosphere. In fact, it was more akin to a gentleman's club, rather than a hotel. Kildonan Lodge Hotel
4.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (232)
"This was the most awesome place. My family loved it. We had been on vacation for 11 days at this point and stayed in many different locations and we all stated to one another we would have just stayed at this location the whole time. It's perfect. It was spacious, clean, had books, board games, an additional "sun room" with dining table. Two large beds, smaller table to eat at as well. I highly recommend. "

"This is very nice hotel, conveniently located a couple of blocks from George St and the so-called New Town. Rooms are in top condition, clean, my room had a jacuzzi. Very nice taste in decoration. Only two observations: the volume of water in the shower was really low and variable, as well as the temp (in a moment you passed from a trickle of cool water to a normal flow of very hot water. Also, the bed could have been softer. "
