“A great base to see Barcelona from...”

The Hotel Medium Prisma, at the great and in expensive price I paid, is a fantastic place to base yourself from when staying in Barcelona. I went away for a quick weekend to relax and see the sights. Hotel Medium Prisma was great for this, as all I wanted was a bed. I work in hotels and yes, the room was not the best I have stayed in. But it was adequate for what I needed and what I had paid. The hotel is in an area that within a five minute walk has some great local eateries and Tabernas. Plus you are a two minute walk form the Red and five minute walk from the blue routes of the Bus Turistic. This is a great and inexpensive way to see Barcelona. So if you all you want is a "base of operations" and somewhere to sleep, you cannot do any better than the Hotel Medium Prisma.

“NOT TOO FAR FROM THE CITY”

Hotel was easy to get to from the airport, just a few blks from the metro which made it easy to go back and forth to Barcelona's Placa Catalunya. It was clean and comfortable, had large windows up on the 6th floor.Coffee and a room for breakfast, the staff was very helpful just a quick bus ride to Parc Quell.Nice neighborhood would stay there again.

“Worth the price”

Though it is only rated a 2 star hotel my stay there was quite pleasant, the location is ideal walking distance from the main railway about 10 to 15 mins as well as the metro, i really can't say much aboout the food because i never ate there was up eatly each say to explore and usually ate out or got something fromt the supermarket which is only a couple of mins down the road, the only one complaint i have is the statment that made about the distance of camp nou from the hotel it still isn't far but i am positive it was not the 0.5 miles as stated, still if you are looking for a cheap yet comfortable base especially if you will be exploring the city by foot or public trnsportation then i think this hotel will be a great choice oh almost forgot just pray the life is working when you check in i was lucky got a room on the 4th floor that could have been really emotional if the life was broken but hey a little walkng never hurt anyone

“If you're going for the football and sightseeing..”

I recently visited Barcelona as I had tickets for a UEFA Champions League match at the Camp Nou. I was staying for 2 nights as this gave me a chance to see the sights around the city. The journey from the airport to the hotel was very simple and easy. Get the RENFE train from the aeropuerto to Barcelona Sants, then simply walk up Av. Josep Tarradellas. Considering I was going to be out all day from 9am-midnight, the hotel was only going to be for bed and breakfast. The room was small, but that was no problem as it was plenty of room for myself. The only problem I had with the room was it was very hot, though it was probably just my room. Also, the soap they give you isn't the best when you use it to shower, so I recommend bringing a small travel shower gel. The breakfast was satisfactory, not the best, not alot of variety, the usual, croissants, cereal, toast, coffee, juice, etc. However, I can't complain as it is excellent value for the price I paid, I really didn't need anymore. The location was quite good for my purpose of going to the Camp Nou, it was about 30 mins walking distance, not too bad, and the sightseeing bus stop was very close at the top of the road (Francesc Macià-Diagonal) which can take you all around the city. The hotel is quite far away from the main touristy areas near La Rambla and the marina, but are easily accessible via the Bus Turistic. This is a good value hotel if you're going for a football match and want to go sightseeing.

“Excellent hotel”

The service of the reception is good. Also this hotel is very closer to bus stop, metro, sightseeing bus stop, and shopping center. The room is very clean, but one thing in the room is shower problem. The shower can't be held tightly. Overall hotel service and location are excellent.

“The hotel is good”

The hotel is good, but the room I was in was too tiny!! The personnel there helps you to solve all the problems.

“Great hotel! Very economical”

Really enjoyed my stay in Hotel Prisma. I was in Barcelona for 3 days on holiday to see the city. Hotel and room were quite modern and very clean. Location was out of the touristy area and more in a business area which was pleasant and safe to walk around. Metro station was about a 10 minute walk away and a tour bus stop was about a 2 minute walk away. Staff weren't overly friendly but helpful if I had any questions and someone was at reception 24 hours a day. Never did breakfast but from what I understood it was 6 Euro, expensive for what you could have. I loved Barcelona and would definitely stay at Hotel Prisma again!

“a value for those seeking economy and comfort”

spent six nights @ this hotel. room is small as I imagine most european rooms are even for doubles (i was alone). had trouble with the refrigerator but was attended to the following day after making front desk aware. AC worked, well appointed bathroom (no bidet, no complimentary designer soaps) with plenty hot water but would have preferred more towels (the more the better for my personal taste). Complimentary buffet breakfast from 0800-1100 worth the wakeup. front desk personnel amply qualified to meet my needs: reservations, directions etc. hotel located in semi quiet residential area of barcelona within easy access of all areas of the city.

“Very clean and tidy hotel with friendly staff.”

This was a very clean and tidy hotel. The rooms were a good size and had a nice clean mordern bathroom. The location was also good, just 5mins away from where it was all happening in la rambla, la rambla is the main area for the shooping and bars. The best way to get to la rambla is to catch a number 59 bus that stops right outside the hotel. Overall a very pleasant stay.
