Moxy Barcelona

Moxy Barcelona

8/10 Good
"The Moxy has a fantastic location close to the Barcelona Sants train station but is quieter than the hotel at the station. It is popular because of the roof-top hotel/bar so don't expect to walk in just because you are a guest. The 3rd floor check-in and restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly..although our experience with the bar staff was less impressive. Our room was not well set up for spending any time in it. Although advertised through Expedia and and Bonvoy/Marriott as having a refrigerator, it did not. The placement of the in-room safe required you to practically lie on the floor to access it. Housekeeping was erratic, water/coffee was not reliably replenished daily, garbages were not emptied, and toilet paper had to be sought out.....this part fell well short of reasonable expectations."

"This was the perfect hotel for our short City Break. It is positioned in walking distance from all transport links, or a reasonable walk from attractions if you just like to be on foot. It offers a fabulous varied breakfast with well spaced seating, although none outside. The gym is a little lacking with no music, only one treadmill working and weights meant for very strong ladies or men only! We loved the rooftop pool, but there’s only deckchairs, no loungers or parasols, but some nice sofas in a shaded bar area. The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful."
