“Beautiful Cancun home away from home!!”
Absolutely gorgeous! Clean! Great architecture! Quiet and family friendly.
“More than 10 Return Visits over 20 Years!”
We have vacationed at the Marriott Casa Magna more than 10 times over the past 20 years, and it is truly our "home away from home" for a great quiet get away vacation for one week each Spring. We have gone to other Caribbean beaches and stayed at other "chic" hotels in Cancun, but none come close to the comfort, warmth, and service of this property. Five years ago we rode out a category 5 hurricane at the Casa Magna, and although we would prefer not to do that again, if not given the choice we would go no where else other than to be with the wonderful staff at this marvelous resort.
“Wonderful Week”
Staff was very helpful and amenities were quite nice.Good location and beautiful grounds.
“Excellent Resort to stay while visiting Cancun”
Hotel is beautifully located between Airport and Downtown Cancun. Very quiet and friendly ambiance. Food was excellent at all their restaurants. Great to have Champs Sport bar on the premises...nice place to watch your favorite sports..and again very friendly atmosphere... Hotel staff was above a 10 in rating...quick to attend to any of your needs...very friendly..polite. Only drawback was that there was not a sport channel that we could watch in our room. ESPN channel was in Spanish..and covered local sport activities..The English version of ESPN only covered soccer... We are big sports fans..not that we would stay in room and watch..but would be nice to get an update later on in the evening..or early morning while we are having coffee. Other than that...definitely a five stars on all counts.
“Our Spring break vacation in March!!!!”
We visited the Casa Magna Hotel in March, and our visit was most pleasant. Our rooms were clean and keep very well by the staff during the entire week.We had an ocean view balcony which was on the beach. The view was breathetaking. The restaurant staff was very pleasant ,and very accomodating. The food in all of the restaurants were superb. At the conciege desk,we were given a coupon to recieve a free appetizer at one of the restaurants. At the conciege desk we also recieved good advice about any question that we had about Cancun. We also recieved the newspaper at this desk, that was complimentary. We almost bought a time share, but because of the recession,we were afaid to buy it.The pool and the jacuzzi were well kept. The exercise room was also very pleasant. If we visit Cancun again, this hotel would be our choice.I would recommend it highly,to anyone who asked. We also liked the mexican music that was played in the hotel in the evening. I would reccomend that you play mexican music in the day around the pool area,so you can get more of a mexican feel, instead of being americanized. Excellent Rating!!!!
“Anniversary”
The Marriott Casa Magna Hotel in Cancun is absolutely fantastic! The only disappointing part of the trip, was that Expedia did not properly notify the hotel that it was my 19 year anniversary. The room reserved for us had two double beds. I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't be satisfied with double beds to celebrate their anniversary. Unfortunately it took a long time to check in order for them to accommodate us with a king size bed. I also had to pay an additional $19 per night to upgrade to a king-size room. I do feel the hotel could've done more to accommodate a Marriott honored guest with an upgrade. This was Actually the first time I've ever experienced this with a Marriott property. Marriott hotels as a rule are very good about upgrading their Marriott honored guests. Outside of the check in experience the hotel was absolutely amazing! We tried all three restaurants on the property. I can't even tell you which one we enjoyed more. I was very surprised to find a hotel was only a four diamond AAA property. This hotel seem to have met most of the criteria necessary to be awarded a five diamond property. I would've preferred a separate shower stall rather than a bathtub shower combination. I was a bit surprised by this considering this is such a fine property. If you're considering the JW Marriott hotel next-door, I would probably recommend staying at this property instead. You can't beat the quality of this hotel for the price.
“cancun paradise”
hi Expedia people . i like say thank you for have to choose this hotel the experience was perfec hotel i say five star, the services no problem the all, restaurant good time american food, argentinan food, all perfect, the pool great, hotel location perfec great vacation, cancun all beautiful.
“Can't Wait to go back”
Very clean, very friendly staff. Breakfast at the hotel is buffet style and there is just so much food. I have never seen this much food available at any American hotel. The beach is beautiful. As far as the cost goes...you get what you pay for. It's one of the best hotels in the area. My only problem in Cancun was how everyone wanted a tip. I mean you could wind up tipping until you get stranded somewhere b/c you wound up giving away all your money! I would absolutely go back tho :)
“I loved it!”
All I can say is that I loved our hotel. The service was phenomenal and the comfort and cleaniless was great. Marriott always provides excellence.
“Will go back next year!”
We were there early July 2007. Excellent hotel, staff and its central location in the Zona Hotelera. The kids didn't want to do anything else apart from staying in the hotel and enjoying the large swimming pool and the beach. The rooms were extremely clean, quiet and the beds were among the most comfortable beds we have experienced (we are regular world travelers!) Very friendly and polite staff. A very pleasant experience and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone considering Cancun for their next vacation.
