We really enjoyed our stay overall. The location was great, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The only downside is that the hotel itself feels quite outdated and is definitely in need of a complete renovation. The rooms and common areas could use a significant refresh to match the quality of the service, food, and location. Overall, we had a very good experience and enjoyed our stay. With a full renovation, this hotel could be absolutely amazing.

The property is out dated and hopefully they do something about it. Initially staff gave us wrong room and didn't admit it. Later manger did admit they gave us wrong rooms. So be careful about your booking. About 95 % of the staff is helpful and do as best as they can. Specially the junior staff and chef. Ask them and they will do their best. Hence the reason stay become good.

Al Ritmo is a budget all inclusive. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the location is ideal as you can walk to the ferry and many of the boat tours pick up locations like Cancun Sailing, whale shark cancun etc.

​I'm giving this resort two stars primarily because the property itself has the potential to be very clean. However, the maintenance timing needs work; staff usually clean the pool in the morning, but throughout the day, the water fills up with floating plastic cups and candy wrappers. ​Additionally, while there are three restaurants on-site, only one was typically open during our stay—likely because it is currently the off-season. Finally, while the price is budget-friendly and includes waterpark access, keep in mind that the waterpark is quite small with very few rides.

The service from the staff was great - it was a quiet, smaller resort with not a lot of visitors. The food was really good - lots of healthy options and unhealthy ones too. Bars had quite a limited drink selection, but there was never a line/wait. Pool was small with lots of broken tiles (had to wear water shoes) but the jacuzzi feature was nice for bubbly relaxing without having to sit in a hot tub. Spotty Wi-Fi in the lobby/dining/pool area and no Wi-Fi in the rooms at all. The evening dance shows were great entertainment! We booked a room with a Jacuzzi on the patio, and that was a really nice feature overlooking the ocean. There were lots of things that need fixing: light fixtures, balcony rails, wifi, pool tiles, window panes, leaking doors during the rain storm. All in all it looked kind of shabby but it had nice staff and the quietness was definitely relaxing.

There’s only 1 reasons to put 3 stars Rooms are really outdated and not taking care of properly they should replace a lot of things. For a 4 star hotel they need to replace stuff like bathroom fixtures, mattresses etc If the rooms were properly maintained I would stayed again because our kids and us had a good time. Waterpark and the beach is great. Everyone who works there are really nice and kind.It’s an older hotel and it has a character which I really loved.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this hotel. The buildings are very old and the rooms don't even have a mini fridge — in a hot destination like Cancun, having no way to keep water cold in your room is a real problem. The location is also a major downside. It's far from everything you'd actually want to do in Cancun, and any taxi ride costs at least $50, which adds up quickly. The food was basic and not tasty. I was looking forward to fresh tropical fruit, but what was offered didn't look fresh and the variety was poor. Also, if you arrived a little late for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you'd only find leftovers — no fresh food was prepared for late arrivals. The pool is small, and the waterpark shown on the website looks poorly maintained — I wouldn't feel safe bringing kids to it. The one genuinely positive thing: the staff. They were kind, helpful, and clearly doing their best. Overall, I wouldn't recommend staying here, not even for one night.

Julio from front desk was very rude when we checked in. Rooms were as described but there’s so much mold that we didn’t want to be in the room much. Came back home sick because of the mold. Mario in the restaurant was really kind and worked so hard when we were there. Marco and Eduardo at the bar were so friendly and knew what drinks to make before we even got to the bar. I would not stay here again unless the property upgrades and gets rid of the mold in the rooms.
