Of my whole honeymoon in Thailand this hotel was my favorite. A real gem. Located conveniently in the old city. Incredibly helpful staff. Above all I LOVED everything about the décor and the whole ambiance there. Great deal for the price. Wonderful food!! Best boutique hotel I've stayed in anywhere. Can't say enough good about this place!

This really is a brilliant hotel. Great location in Chiang Mai only a 5 minute walk from the night Bazaar. There's nothing I could fault about it. Breakfast is great, tranquil pool setting tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai, room was fantastic with complimentary minibar, selection of movies to watch on in room DVD player. Staff were excellent throughout. Highly recommend this hotel.
When I book hotels I find it useful to look at there photos. I estimate that no matter how good they look the truth is about 24% less good. In this case, the photos were excellent, but the actual hotel was even better. I would say, better by 50%. The room and food were some of the best we ever had, but by far what makes this place special is the outstanding serves from everyone on the staff. They are dedicated to making your stay one of the best you ever had.

Lovely hotel with a wonderful staff! The food and spa were very nice and pretty reasonable. It was walking distance to town, but still a bit far and off the beaten path. (Would not suggest walking there at night). This is just an FYI; it was not an issue, as they have complimentary tuktuks to bring you into town, and it's easy to find one to bring you back. (They provided directions in Thai for the drivers)
Also, if you have problems walking, make sure and ask for a ground floor room since there are no elevators.
Though you aren't in the heart of things, it resulted in it being very quiet and secluded.
Beautiful hotel in breathtaking surroundings. Architecture and design of hotel on another level to all other hotels I have stayed in around the world. Excellent service and fantastic services. Staff went well out of their way to help my injured mother-in-law move around the resort. Food in Rabiang Cha was took traditional Thai food a step further with innovative twists. Would highly reccommend to other travelers. Will be returning in 2012 for another holiday.

Our stay here was beautiful! The people, the food, the accommodation, the facilities were so great. We loved staying here and would definitely return again. Not too far from the airport with an easy taxi ride. Couldn't recommend Khum Phaya Resort & Spa highly enough.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The setting in and out of room is beautiful. Great and healthy breakfast with many choices. The shuttle between hotel and town works well if you can find the various collecting points- we were forgotten once but they sent car to collect us soon after we called them.
Pictures cannot capture the idyllic setting of this hotel. absolutely, unbelievably gorgeous. Rushing water sounds help sleep at night, staff's english not great, so leaves some room for misunderstanding when ordering dinner, but will do anything to ensure a pleasant stay. There was a group of about 25 people who travelled there just to do yoga, the setting was so tranquil. waterfalls and river running right through hotel. Lobby and restaurant all open air. It is about 45 minutes from town, so about 700 baht for fixed rate taxi, but minutes from Tiger Kingdom, and some other activities.
