Mad Monkey Chiang Mai - Hostel

2.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (28)
"This hostel was a fun place with a small swimming pool and gym. In Chiang Mai, it was impossible to find the public transportations. The hostel manager was arranging the shared ride schedules for the guests who might be interested in to sign for the places they want to visit. The hostel bed was comfortable and the manager was kind and informative. "

Nature Boutique Hotel at Chiangmai - Hostel

3.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (11)
"If you want somewhere basic and well located in Chiangmai old town, this is the place for you. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a lovely area walking distance from lovely shops and places to eat and book other excursions. My only complaint would be that the room was quite basic, there was a lot of noise from other AC generators (despite the one in our room being turned off whilst we tried to sleep) and the shower was not hot. But for the price you can’t complain! I would...

Baan Heart Thai - Hostel

2.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (12)
"It was a great value; the mattress was hard but comfortable, and the privacy curtains were great. I stayed in the women's dorm. When I first booked online, they made a weird comment about not renting to anyone over 40 (because of stairs), though it was only one flight. The vibe at the hostel was offputting, though. The host was lovely, though; since it was off-season, they included breakfast. I was the only non-Asian during my five days. (They do cater to Chinese tourists). I felt safe, and...

"I quite enjoyed this hostel. It was quiet when I stayed there but it wasn't very busy at the time. There is a large lounge room with a computer that can be used and an LCD TV that I was told could be used to watch Netflix. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke very good English. She definitely gave the impression that she wanted the guests to be content. The room was quite clean, free of mosquitoes, and was well air conditioned, though windowless. The showers were clean and soap and...
