“Nice hotel”
Nice hotel, pleasant staff. Not been refurbed in a while but nice and clean. Nice location and decent breakfast buffet.
“Brighton Mercure Recommended”
Friendly, efficient staff. Hotel in excellent seafront location. Comfortable, quiet, clean room. Tasty, plentiful breakfast.
“Brighton Mercure hotel”
Although only a one night stopover, this hotel had friendly and helpful staff, public areas were well kept and clean, and the room was clean, tidy and although not huge in size was adequate.
“Paradise in Brighton”
The hotel location is superb and the view of the room i had was an absolute delight. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient, it was a real pleasure to deal with the lady receptionists there ( they were the ones i dealt with mostly), they have provided me with tips and recommendations on how to make the most of my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers and I'm hoping to go back soon. I would however recommend that the hotel work on improving the food quality, I have expected something better honestly. My deepest appreciation to the hotel staff for making my stay at Brighton an unforgettable one.
“Fine hotel at the price”
Fine hotel 10 mins walk from centre of Brighton. The service was excellent and the room clean. The beds were obviously quite cheap - bought to a budget I guess, Upon arrival the radiator was set to max and ventilation was limited to a window with a lock to limit opening and a patio door that was impossible to open - four of us tried! So even switching the radiator off, the room stayed very warm. I guess that only around 10% of rooms have a sea view. However the Mercure was fine for friends having a weekend in Brighton as we didn't stay in the room much.
“Avoid booking a hotel just on the name!!”
Firstly we were placed into a disabled room, with a granny shower! On top of that is the disabled alarm cord dangled down onto the middle of the bed. We were then moved to what was apparently the "only other room left in the hotel" which was very old fashioned, in need of renovation, and the shower was what I would expect from a Travelodge I booked the Mercure pretty much based on the name, but will not make the same mistake twice The ultimate lowlight of the stay was the special needs maid who seemed unable to notice the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign hung on the front door and burst into our room at 11.50 to clean while me and my girlfriend were buck naked in bed, and didn't even apologise While the front of the hotel gives the impression of a grand 4 star, the rooms themselves were of a 2-3* quality AT BEST
