“The Hollywood Beach Mariott Experience”
I was very impressed with the level of professionalism exemplified by the front desk personnel. We arrived at the height of a very busy day for the hotel (it was independence day after all) . While I had requested an early check in, our room wasn't ready when we arrived. The front desk took our phone number and offered to hold our luggage while we waited for our room to be prepared. Even though I baraged the girl at the front desk with questions, she was very patient, polite, and most importantly, professional. Everyone who helped us at this hotel made sure to always ask questions about our comfort and well being, which was amazing. The food was excellent, and the bar service was amazingly friendly. The suites were very clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The only draw backs were that the balcony was a little small for my tastes, though it gave us a beautiful view of the surrounding area, and that the buildings exterior was a little disheartening at first glance. The interior, however, was a different story entirely. My over all experience was excellent, and I look forward to returning again.
“Perfect upper mid-range hotel on the beach!”
Exactly what I wanted: on the beach, decent bar and restaurant. I loved the coffee bar thats open near the front desk, I got a cup at 630am. Staff was very helpfull and responded to my requests. Well appointed exercise room, Internet access via ethernet. Interesting shower with clear class sliders and marble, there isnt a tub. The pool was small and therefore crowded. You can borrow some hotel towels at the pool and hit the beach, with the water about 150ft away from hotel. The key here is that its on the beach, close to the airport, and not south beach. It took me 50 minutes from landing at FTL to get my rental car and enter the room. That was great!. I would definately come again for a long weekend and next time bring our son.
“Spring break in Hollywood, FL”
The family of two teenage girls went for the first time to Ft Lauderdale. The Hotel is excellent. The breakfast was included and that saved us lots of money. The varieties offered at the breakfast were fantastic, from hot to cold food selection. The room always clean and has all what we need. The staff were also helpful. We needed to receive a fax and it was delivered to the room immediately. The concierge helped us with restaurant selection, entertainment and shopping locations. An additional saving is the free parking. The hotel was just right on the beach and off the board walk.. Also it was a short drive to Miami and to South beach.. We loved it.
“So impressed with this Marriott”
I picked this hotel based on the reviews here and they were right on. This hotel was fantastic. I don't recall ever being at a hotel where each and every staff member was as polite and professional. I would highly recommend and hope to visit again.
“Great stay and location”
The hotel is in excellent condition and staff very friendly and helpful. Being location directly on the boardwalk and beach made it idea for long morning and evening walks.
“Great place to stay!”
This is a wonderfully comfortable and friendly Marriott. All the employees includng the valets, front desk crew, housekeeping staff, and the restaurant staff were top-notch.
“Great hotel!”
We loved everything about the Hollywood Marriott. Great location right on the beach. Nice restaurant with excellent meal choices. Very comfortable room. We would definitely recommend to others.
“Abosolutely Loved It !”
It was one of the best hotels I ever stayed in. absolutely loved it!
“Had the best time!”
We went to Hollywood Beach in early June 2010. The hotel was beautiful and right on the boardwalk. The beach was just steps away! Be prepared to rent a chair and umbrella on the beach if you did not bring them (about $22 for two chairs + umbrella). The restaurant at the hotel was delicious, although the service left something to be desired. The wait staff was always very busy and as a result rarely came to the table. The continental breakfast was included and was the best on the beach! Other restaurants are within walking distance or you can travel on the trolley for $1 and visit the downtown Hollywood restaurants. The spa was very relaxing. We recommend the hot stone massage. The pool was alright but with the beach in front of you who needs a pool anyway? We will definitely come back again next year.
“Marriott Hollywood Beach FL - thumbs up!”
The exterior is not that impressive, but other than that, I am glad I stayed at the Marriott Hollywood Beach Florida over 2010 Memorial Day weekend. It is right on the beach and off the Hollywood Florida Broadwalk. Service was terrific, and the complimentary mint and lime infused water was delicious like a mojito minus the rum. I only wish the hotel had more options for public transportation since I stayed there without a car and relied mostly on taxi service. The only public transit that I was aware of was the Hollywood Trolley, but I was unable to use it since when it was closed on Memorial Day.
