“Good train station hotel in Frankfurt”
This is a typical European hotel, which for North Americans means small rooms. However, it is very clean with good beds and washroom facilities - and of course the breakfast...German breakfasts cannot be beat!! The transit pass they provide is also a great tool to get back to the airport and do some traveling in the city. Overall, very convenient, comfortable and economical (Aug'2011).
“Very convenient, clean and comfortable.”
Close to the Hauptbanhof (main train station) and very clean and friendly. Definitely would stay there again.
“Ask for the transportation pass”
Besides having friendly staff and impecable rooms, InterCity will give you a transportation pass that is valid for the length of your stay and is good for all public transportation in Frankfurt. However, they don't volunteer ir,so you must ask for it.
“Comfortable, Clean, and Convenient”
This hotel is located conveniently directly across the street from the train station, with easy access to the U Bahn, S Bahn, Trams, and Long distance and Regional trains. It's a perfect place to stay if you're planning on taking some short train trips to nearby Wiesbaden, Kronberg, or if you're just staying in town. The hotel itself is amazing for the price. The check in process is quite easy, the staff speaks English, and the hotel lobby has a bar and a restaurant. The room had a queen bed, a television with a decent selection of channels, air conditioning, and a mini bar. The restroom was quite european, and by that I mean that it was very small. Despite the size of the restroom, it was very clean and modern. Also, there is free wireless internet, although it was difficult to connect in the room, it was easy and fast when connecting in the lobby on the floor. I would recommend that anyone interested in a bargain hotel with an amazing location check this place out, and give it a chance.
“Great place to stay”
This hotel is right out the left hand door of the train station. The front desk was very helpful, and friendly. It was nice to be able to drop our bags and go on our short Frankfurt visit. We would recommend this hotel, especially if you have a short visit to Frankfurt.
“Hotel was just right”
The hotel is located across the street from the main train station, the Hauptbanhof(?). Easy walking distance to restaurants and bars. Very clean, but small by US standards. Would definitely recommend. One of the few hotels with A/C and good price.
“Extremely Convenient”
I was apprehensive about a European 3 star, but we booked anyway since we had been to Frankfurt and walked by the hotel before. We were pleasantly surprised!!! The InterCity Hotel Frankfurt was great. It is right across the street from the city's main train station so you can be anywhere in the city in minutes. The hotel was well cared for, clean and the non-smoking floor was completly free of any smoke smell. The comfort of the room was in line with all European hotels I have stayed in. We really liked the mini bar in the room stocked with soda and the free public transportation. Employees were knowledgeable and spoke English fluently. You will want to bring your own facecloth and shower amenities, unless you only require the bare essentials which are provided.
“Great location and value”
This hotel is situated just adjacent to the Hauptbahnhof which makes it ideal for short stays as well as longer trips as a base for exploring further afield. The Hbf is a great place for grabbing bread and fruit to stash in the minibar fridge for late-night snacking. The breakfast at 14 Euros was reasonable since it includes hot foods such as eggs, sausage, bacon, etc and also yogurt, granola, all types of breads and cheese and juices. We found it more than adequate for a good start. The service was wonderful. We were fortunate to work with a front-desk clerk who helped us book a spa appointment and answered our multitude of questions about transport, which is free in the city since the hotel is owned by Deutsche Bahn. The waiter in the restaurant was wonderful too. Nice sense of humor which is refreshing to a foreigner. The only real disappointment was the internet connection in the room--the wireless connection simply didn't work there. It's free, though, in the lobby so you can go down there. I was able to access a t-mobile hotspot for 29 Euros for 30 days, which is good if you're here for 3 days or more. Said connection also works at the airport which is handy for when you leave.
“Comfortable and convenient at reasonable rates...”
I've stayed at the InterCity Frankfurt many times and always had a good experience there. It's not a 5 star luxury hotel but the rates are reasonable and the rooms are very comfortable. Most importantly, it's spotlessly clean. There's free wifi available in the rooms and the front desk will give you a free pass to use the local subway for the duration of your stay. It's right across the street from the Frankfurt Main Train Station so you can't beat the convenience.
“awsome!”
The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were nice. The staff was very helpful and always willing to help. The location was great, since it was near the train station, I could catch up with my late night train. They also had a free luggage storage which it was kept in a safe room, which I could trust.
