“Sirkeci Konak”
An excellent boutique hotel with a friendly, competent staff. The location is convenient to the major tourist sites in Istanbul
“A fantastic hotel”
This was a brilliant hotel to stay in - very well located for all the main sights with the tram stop only a few yards away. The service from all the staff was first rate with every question answered speedily and courteously. Breakfasts were lavish with an extra bonus of lovely sandwiches available at tea time after a long day walking. The bedroom was extremely comfortable. All in all I cannot fault the Sirkeci Konak and will definitely return
“Very impressed”
We were very impressed with this hotel! At first it appeared to be in a bit of a back water but the location was very convenient for all the sights in the old town. Pelin, the guest relations manager, was a great help and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, we also joined the Friday evening cookery course which was fun and I would highly recommend! I can see why it is the no. 1 hotel on Tripadvisor.
“Flawless”
Great location, great staff and great rooms. Affordable luxury in the heart of the old town. Easy walking to all major attractions. Staff is amazing! Take advantage of their afternoon tea, and weekly cooking lessons. Rooms are top-notch.

“Fantastic Hotel!”
Fantastic hotel in a great location! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our romm was nicely appointed and quite on the 4th Floor although in the summer when the restaurant is working on the roof the 4th floor might get more noisy. We eat in 3 of the group restaurants and they were all excellent and good value for money. We would definitely go back and stay again. Change your money at the hotel they gave a very competitive rate.
“Nice Hotel, Great Location”
We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Sirkeci Konak. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. Hotel breakfast was copious and tasty. We took full advantage of the wellness center, pampering ourselves in the sauna and turkish bath. (Felt great after a long day of sightseeing) Speaking of sightseeing, the hotel was very conveniently located (walking distance) to all the major sites in the historic district. It was also within spitting distance of a tram stop, if you want to venture into further territory. Hotel staff was courteous and friendly. The only negative: service was not great in the bar/lounge area, but we were there at the height of the dinner hour, and the wait staff was focused on the dining patrons. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the Sirkeci Konac at the beginning of September. This hotel if very good. The rooms and facilities are comfortable. The members of the hotel staff are courteous, friendly, enthusiastic and extremely helpful. My wife was not feeling well for a day and the staff members were very attentive and sensitive to the situation. The breakfast was delicious with a wide choice of good food. The hotel has two very good restaurants. The rooftop terrace has stunning views and a dreamy wine bar area. The area is quiet at night, but busy and lively in the evening. There are many restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. Topkapi Palace is a few steps away. The hotel also organise activities for the hotel guests like walking tours around Istanbul, cookery course, Raki tasting. We went on the cookery course and the Raki testing, and both evenings were good fun. We met other hotel guests, and learned the basics of cooking a delicious Turkish meal. I highly recommend the Sirkeci Konac.
“Hotel-yes, but Istanbul a definite no go!!!”
The hotel was really very nice, in a good location close to all the major attractions. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Istanbul, however, is not developed for tourism, and not safe for Western tourists. [It is by far the most dangerous place for tourists in Central / Eastern Europe; I was conned out of money, but the con men seemed to be endemic and the police could care less about stopping them]. Honestly I would not recommend that anyone visit this city!!!

The Sirkeci Konak hotel exceeded my expectations on all levels. I was particularly impressed with the welcome we received from the staff and the level of service. It felt like nothing was too much trouble for them, to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay. The room, food and hotel facilities were of a very high standard but it was the staff that made our stay an outstanding experience. I was very sorry to leave and will definitely return. The letter from the owner, waiting for us in our room, giving his mobile and email address, spoke volumes about the expected standards of customer service.
