“Location, Location, Location”
This is a very "simple" hotel. Just the basics. That said, If you want to be in the heart of London, but traveling on a budget, this is the perfect place for you. The Marble Arch Tube and all busses are two short blocks away and you can go anywhere from here. The Historic Manor House Pub, where locals meet, is across the street. They have good beer and food at reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly. An internet store is next door, only cost $1 per 30 minutes internet access. There is a refregerator in your room and local market to buy fruits, sodas, bottled water, snacks, etc. is 1/2 block away. A very nice neighboorhood. Tony Blair, the former Prime Minister, lives just a few blocks away. I found the staff very helpful in offering assistance on directions. London is very expensive, but a free simple breakfest of egg, toast, jam, coffee & tea is brought to your room each morning. Unless I win the lottery, I would stay here again.
“Good location”
This family run hotel suited my needs. I stayed in a twin room with a shower in the room. the only downside was the toilet was situated down the stairs, but there was a sink in the room to wash. Breakfast was continental (boiled egg, jam + toast, etc), and was brought up to my room when I phoned down to reception. The bed was comfortable, and there was a fridge and a fan in the room which was very convenient for me.
“Could have been worse...”
Overall, a decent place for the money. As a college student on a tight budget, this worked just fine. There is no elevator, so it was a bit of a workout to get my bags up to the fourth floor. Breakfast was brought to my room in the morning. My biggest complaint is the water here. It may have just been my room or a problem that weekend, but there was barely any pressure and it was difficult to get the hot and the cold to mix well. Also, when the water was turned on, it made a loud noise. For the 2 days I was there, I was able to shower quickly, but any longer and I would have complained. I have faith that if I had complained, it would have been fixed. The staff was very helpful.
“You get what you pay for!! - But DECENT PLACE TO STAY”
I stayed at this hotel over the 2008 4th of july week. Before I left I got all freaked out about the horrible reviews I say about the hotel. It's not that bad!!!! I don't know what these people were expecting for the price they were paying. The people were very nice and helpful, the room was made up and clean. It wasn't perfect, but it served it's purpose
“I dont think its so bad!! Decent enough for what I paid per night”
I dont think its so bad.. its looks like it has new carpets through out and managed a decent nights sleep even though I was in a front room. Location great for Marble arch/Oxford street.. and Edgeware road. Shower and toilet in room were ok... Just done expect the Hilton!!! its a budget hotel
“our stay at boston court”
The staff were friendly but the room was a little untidy. its only a cheap hotel so you get what you pay for dont expect the ritz. Location is excellent for shopping and sight seeing but getting a beer on a night is a bit of a trek after 11pm.
“Emergency bed for the night”
Although the price was low, I was a little surprised to find there was no shower in the room, and I had to go down into some kind of groto basement for a shower. It was basic: very basic, but convenient. The plumbing was on its last legs. One night was quite enough thank you very much! Maybe I had one of the more basic rooms in teh hotel: I don't know...
“small, dark, unclean, good located only”
not a worth of 2 stars and tooooooooo expensive for that service
“Don't Stay Here”
Don't stay here. Rooms are not secure, there was no heat, you have to find your way through the basement to get to a toilet because there is none in your room, and the shower -- an open shower stall installed in a corner of the room -- barely had enough water to wash. The worst hotel I've ever encountered in London.
“Horrible dirty hotel!”
Do not go there. It is filthy, disgusting, the service is terrible. It's only saving grace is location. The shower didn't work, bedsheets were dirty and it smelled.
