“Ideal location and cost performance”
The hotel locates close enough to the South Kensington station of Piccadilly Circus line, Circle line, and District line. This location make you to go anywhere by Tube. The room was well equipped with bathroom including a bathtub and a shower curtain.
“JCRatRegency”
The hotel was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful in accommodating our needs and offering assistance. The environment around the hotel was good offering resturants, convenience stores and a train station. I would definitely stay there again.
“The Regency - A Great London Hotel”
We spent 12 nights at the Regency in October 2009. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. We had a great room and the beds were very comfortable. It was especially nice to be within a 3-6 minutes walk to two tube stations (South Kensington and Gloucester). We could access 3 tube lines from the either Tube Station, making it very easy to travel to any of the sights. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
“Lovely hotel in London”
Hotel was beautiful inside and out. The room was clean, quiet, elegantly furnished with exquisite bathroom. Staff was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Only downside was lack of free wireless internet.
“Great little hotel”
Very good location in South Kensington, just 1 block from metro on Embassy Row. The service at this hotel was outstanding! When I checked in the staff was very accomadating. Every time I returned or left the hotel the doorman was there to open the door and the concierge was very helpful. Lots of small places to eat just a block from the hotel. I am looking forward to staying at this hotel again.
“Our Favorite Place to Stay in London”
Various members of our family have stayed at the Regency approximately 15 times over the last dozen years and have always been very pleased. While not a fancy hotel, the Regency has nice public spaces, guest rooms which are well maintained although somewhat small, a very courteous staff and an excellent location at the corner of Queensgate and Old Brompton Road in South Kensington. This puts it near a number of good restaurants along Old Brompton Road, just a short walk to the the South Kensington musuems and to the South Kensington tube sttion which provides access to three major subway lines.
“Outstanding hotel”
I've been to London five times, staying at a different hotel each time. Considering location, comfort, cleanliness, and value for money, the Regency is far and away the best London hotel at which I've stayed. The only thing I could think of which was less than perfect, is that the duvets could have been wider. Other than that, everything was superb: I'll seriously consider making the Regency "my" London hotel for any future trips.
“As advertised.”
Great location relative to central London; very convenient to the underground station. Many places to eat nearby in this quiet neighborhood. Just a short walk to the National History, V&A and Science Museums. Reasonably priced. Get an Oyster Card for transportation and enjoy!
“Historic Regency”
The hotel staff was wonderful, very thoughtful, and helpful. They made our stay really enjoyable. Restaurant was also very accomodating and the food was great.
“Clean, Convenient, and Friendly”
Hearing from the reviews of typical European hotels, my friend and I expected the worst. However, the Regency turned out to be a nice litle pearl in the city! Yes, the room was small but hey, the room was very clean and nice! The service was outstanding...when we asked for a clean kettle (the one in our room had rust inside it)-- they scrubbed it clean. When we asked for alarm clock (hmmm...we thought it normally should be in any hotel room), yet they wrapped up the alarm clock in a gift box for us! Don't forget to bring an adapter- a must for all ladies. They even provided us with one (although it didn't work, it still was a nice gesture). Great service always accommodating to any customer's need! We had a blast in London and would go back in a heartbeat!
