Property Amenities
Guests can relax in the hotel's Roman-themed wellness centre which comprises a hot tub, sauna, Turkish bath, and two Scottish showers. More active guests can work out on the cardio and weight equipment in the 24-hour fitness centre. The sixth floor houses the lap pool, which is surrounded by wood decking, sun loungers, and greenery, and features an underwater sound system and a retractable roof which opens to offer views over the city's rooftops, the spires of the Duomo, and the dome of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.
The concierge can reserve the Oyster Bar for private parties, whilst the hotel's three meeting rooms can accommodate between 30 and 80 people. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel (surcharge).
Rooms
This seven-floor hotel features 109 guestrooms and suites, all of which feature bold-coloured decor complementing the richly-pattered bedding and 18th-century art displayed on the walls. Windows open onto the quiet surrounding streets and include mechanised shutters which can be opened and closed from the bedside. All rooms come with ornate, antique-style furnishings in cherry wood, upholstered chairs, and large, gold-framed mirrors.
The air-conditioned rooms include satellite TV with pay movies, direct-dial telephones, and wireless Internet access (surcharge), as well as safes and minibars. Italian marble bathrooms come equipped with tubs and showers, bidets, and bathroom telephones.

Guests of the Hotel de la Ville enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning from 7 AM to 10:30 AM, served in the contemporary, 120-seat breakfast room, which adjoins the restaurant.
L'Opéra - Continental-style á la carte restaurant and bar, serving a range of typical Italian dishes with specialties such as Lobster with Thyme-Flavoured Chick Peas. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Not all meals are served daily; reservations are required.
Il Visconteo Bar - Traditional, wood-paneled bar set adjacent to the lobby. Serves wine, beers, and a wide range of liqueurs.
Oyster Bar - Small, informal bar set on the first floor, available for lunches and aperitifs.

“Good hotel”
Location is excellent. Steps from the Duomo, and all shops. Hotel is clean, breakfast is good. The staff is very helpful, and all of them have a service mind attitude. Could not be any better. The room size is small but do-able. Just typical European hotel room size.

This is a quietly competent hotel in an ecxcellent location near to the Duomo and Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery. Good, unobtrusive service.

The Hotel de la Ville is located 100 meters from the Duomo and across the street from a trendy and elegant department store. The metro station is in the plaza where the Duomo is and within 5 minutes from the central train station. Will stay there next time I go to Milan. JLQ

A great central location hotel was grand without being dated breakfast was brilant with tentative service. the pool on the roof with a view of the duomo was the icing on the cake. The main shopping street is a 50 yd walk. We will go back. We went 2 adults and a 3 year old.

“Great Hotel”
The service in this hotel is the best I have ever experienced - nothing is too much trouble. The location is also great - very central for tourist attractions and shops. There is a roof pool, but this is very small and there is limited place to sit. Good sauna, steam room and hot tub.
