“The hotel to stay in!”
This is a beautiful hotel right in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Our room with king bed had an ocean view on the 16th floor and contained all the amenities we needed for a great stay. Front desk, housekeeping, and bell service was impeccable and friendly. Will stay here again when we get back to Honolulu.
“Love location”
Renovations had just started so there was lots of noise. We knew about it ahead of time but was noisier than expected. But this hotel has a great location, good food and friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here again.
“This Hotel delivered more than expected.”
The valets were quick and courteous, the desk staff were friendly and very helpful, Duke's restaurant in the hotel had great food, great service, and reasonable prices. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Waikiki right across the street from the international market. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the hotel appeared to be well maintained overall. I would definately stay there again.
“Great hotel - close to everything!”
Will definitely be back! So convenient. One advice is to skip renting the umbrellas and chairs from the beach and hang out at the hotel patio instead. It's close enough to the beach and will save you $60 for a pair of chairs and umbrella for the day. Room was clean and comfortable. We had the beach front view. Duke''s entertainers were great. We opened our 4th floor deck doors after spending the day on the beach and listened to the great tunes while we got ready to go out for the evening. We had our 10 and 11 year old kids with us and they had a blast. Will definitely go back!
“Lively hotel in the heart of the action!”
A truly great hotel in the heart of Waikiki! Plenty of dining options for all tastes and budgets within walking distance. One of the most happening Bar and Grills just downstairs (DUKE'S). Very practical Expedia Travel Expert in the lobby to book all activities; with most of them able to pick you up downstairs or a short walk away. Ask for a room in the upper floors; as Kalakua Avenue is pretty lively at night! *They offer a complementary vow renewal ceremony a couple of days a week; just expect to pay over $200 for the pictures....we did
“Will definitely book here again”
Loved the hotel, loved the location, loved the view from our oceanfront balcony. The entertainment every Friday, Saturday and Sunday was great. This is our 3rd trip to Hawaii but the first time we stayed at this hotel. We will definitely stay here again.
“Waikiki Beachfront View!!”
Our position at Outrigger on the Beach was great; convenient to the markets and the beach as well as the shopping strip at Waikiki. We had a 15th Floor Deluxe beachfront room which had a jacuzzi in the room. This sounded inviting on arrival but I would have preferred the more spacious room with a small lounge area for more room and somewhere to relax. We did have a balcony with table & chairs overlooking Duke's outdoor area and the beachfront. All in all it was a great position with easy access to the beach. Look forward to our next visit to Honolulu.
“Had a great stay and an excellent time. Fun was had by all.”
The rooms were great, with a space to relax. Duke's, great food and drinks. Trip around the island, wow.....
“Ticks all boxes”
Couldn't ask for more, perfect location, rooms, service, amenities, And did I mention location :)
“Great stay!”
This was our first visit to Hawaii, so everything was a new experience for us. We stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach from December 3-9, 2011. Although we were concerned about having rainy weather at this time of year, it was beautiful throughout our stay with spotty showers that cleared up quickly. The hotel was nestled next to the Royal Hawaiian with a gorgeous view of Diamond Head. The hotel restaurants overlooking the water had stunning views. One of my favorite parts of the day was enjoying the excellent buffet breakfast at Duke's, sipping my coffee and enjoying the open air looking out at the water. The sunsets were spectacular! The hotel is straight across from the International Market and centered within lots of other hotels, restaurants, and shops, so there was always something to do. The only downside of our trip was the traffic getting into and out of Waikiki. We went out each day to tour a different part of the island, and often were stuck for an hour or more in bumper to bumper traffic. The beach was crowded in front of our hotel as well, but this seemed to be the same throughout the Waikiki area. We had a rental car, and the fee of $30 per day for valet parking was steep, but we knew this ahead of time, so we were prepared. The hotel itself was very nice and in a great location in Waikiki. Service was excellent and friendly throughout our stay. Thanks to the staff for a great first visit to Oahu!
